It's great to see Iris band and still on form. This single sees the band decamped on the Diffusion label and will undoubtedly please all those who enjoyed their previous album "Connect" as the title track contains in spades everything that made the album such a success.
The mid-paced 'album version' is an instantly memorable number that packs a strong punch being full of feeling and vitality, helped by Reagan Jones' superb vocals. Having said this if you want to dance then look no further than the 'Sub Rosa' mix from System 22's Cody Williams as the dynamic dance rhythms help this version go with a bang, working superbly in unison with the original's excellent tune.
It's a fair bet that the "Spatial Dub Mix and the more rhthmically-inclined "Everlasting Love Mix", which both lean towards electronica fields were included in order to increase the single's crossover potential which is a sensible marketing move. Datguy's Remix is closer to the original in tempo but is nearly instrumental with many new inventive themes and motifs added.
Whilst it's unlikely that everybody will like all these mixes they are at least sufficiently different to keep things interesting and will hopefully bring the band to the attention of more willing ears.
So, sit back, enjoy and await the album with bated breath.
