"I only came to dance."
Icon of Coil's Andy LaPlegua has shrugged off the Coilish synthpop/ebm for an electronic noise that firmly adheres itself to melodious intent, yet remains focused on vicious programming. Beats and noise, and great waves of sampled sound, define this side-project of Andy's. From the first robotic bout of warnings on "Intruder Alert," to the ominous stomp of "Joy to the World," "Winteryear," and "Vater unser," this CD is a creative revolution and an absolute must-have for those tired of VNV Nation clones. A song such as "Human Error," is an incredible percussive monster. Andy's music is the perfect example of how a side-project can break the safety chains of what works, and venture boldly forth into territory that works even better. Although not perfect, there is a consistent strain of excellence on this CD mixed with an undeniably relentless spirit and urgency to wake up all of the sleepy ones night-tripping their way through Club Land.
