The old-style comic presentation of this American album is something slightly different from most EBM albums but at least they're trying something slightly more eye-catching which will hopefully make the album stand out in this crowded and competitive market. However, don't make the mistake of thinking this is some sort of joke or novelty album not to be taken seriously as the Rev Dr Atomic and Special Agent Greene have definately got it sussed when it comes to producing good solid EBM.
One area where a lot of independently produced albums come out lacking is in the area of sound quality, sounding a bit on the weak and wobbly side but this is certainly not the case here as each track fairly hits you between the eyes with the harsh, effected vocals worked into the musical fabric so well you'd swear this was recorded at one of the big established studios with a bigshot producer. True, there's nothing remotely unique or innovative here, just a well put together collection of 6 tracks (which, at 33 minutes running time, could just as easily be seen as an EP than an album) that, for some reason, remind me of Inertia in places, don't ask me why although while listening to the opening "Incubator" in particular this was the name foremost on my mind. The fuller "Graviton" shows the music while the melodic feel of "Pugatory" makes this the track that they should push onto samplers and compilations, it's certainly the highlight of this collection.
Regular gigs have seen the band steadily building a loyal and enthusiastic fanbase, hopefully paving the way for further success in the future. There's nothing fancy here, just good solid EBM that should appeal to all fans of the genre.
