Biography Delica tracks are now available on iTunes and puretracks! Delicas "half electronic, half synthpop, half goth" blend of music captures the emotion of an unspoken word, a single moment. From penetrating rhythms to swirling atmosphere, the songs are at home both on the darkest dance floors and on those long drives to nowhere. Their latest CD The Chemical Rift takes the bands signature sound into exciting new territory, exploring themes of strength, despair and recovery. Those familiar with their work will find all the elements that have made them unique in the synthpop world, combined with new soundscapes that carry their songs into the future. Delica has venued in countless clubs, opening for bands such as The Birthday Massacre, Diorama and Decoded Feedback, in high-profile shows like The Future of Pop, DarkRave and EBMfest. Their powerful live show has led to music and performances that captivate listeners and endear enthusiastic new fans while escaping the drudgery of commercialism. The band was forged with Herman as the core member, recording a cassette under the name The Deal. Richard joined shortly afterwards and contributed to three CDs in the five years that followed. When Steve joined to form the current trio, they produced Just Land Already, What Brought Me To This and The Chemical Rift under the new band name Delica. Emily, an "unofficial" member during the recording of The Chemical Rift, joined shortly after that CD's release. |
