Biography
The Dignity of Labour takes its name from the first EP by The Human League. TDOL has existed in various permutations since the late 1980's, often dabbling in piano-based ballads, but always true to the pioneers who forged the first expeditions into electronic-based music. TDOL is currently one Kirk Taylor who prides himself in creating intricate and touching lyrical compositions and injecting them into soundtrack-styled frameworks. TDOL was signed to US synthpop mainstay A Different Drum in October 2003. In May 2004, TDOL released its first single, XRV, which gained critical acclaim within synthpop circles while brushing against the mainstream with its pop sensibility. The long-awaited, self-titled debut album was released in September 2005 and has already been described as the quintessential synthpop album. Time will tell.....
