bands reunited?
have you guys been watching the vh1 band reunited shows?
i have seen several of these and its pretty cool to see stuff like flock of seaguls and abc and insoc etc trying to get connected again for a single gig. my favorite was with abc and martin fry who can still pull it off imo. how they chase and surprise these guys is also wild
awesome entertainment.

Yea, I've seen this a few times. The part where they wait to see whether the "maybe" will show is my favorite and when someone who wants to do it but can't because they have not picked up their instrument in 20 years.

I think I saw the episode with ABC. I thought it was a pretty good show.
I also saw another show that had three or four bands on doing about one song each.
I saw The Motels and I think The Knack was on the same show.
I forget what the name of that was.

I think I saw the one that had Information Society and the singer guy refused to show up and so there was no show. It is a pretty cool concept overall, and is pretty interesting to watch if you are in the right mood. I approve.

I have not seen this show, but it sounds like a hoot. I think this would be interesting to watch.

The funny thing is Insoc has since played a number of shows with the core lineup, and released a new studio album...They have done shows with their new lead singer Christopher Anton as well as Kurt Harland...I think Kurt caught the bug after the Bands Reunited show and couldn't resist taking the stage again...

Has anyone listened to the new album from Insoc? I still have that record around with the multi-colored silhouttes on it of the band, I think. I liked to listen to that one quite a bit.

The new album "Synthesizer" is a decent release...Definitely one to get if you're an Insoc fanatic...And by decent I don't mean that it's a weak album at all...The production is great, and Christopher Anton does an awesome job filling Kurt's skates...I mean really, those are some tough skates to fill
It's just that some of the songs on the album are old demos that Paul and Kurt did together a long time ago...So aside from new vocals and some remixing being done on them, they aren't really new tracks...Oh and (just as they're doing with their recent live shows) they threw us another curve ball by having Kurt appearing on lead vocals to a track...Who is the lead singer of Insoc these days anyway???
