Synthpop DVD's
Anyone interested in compiling a list of available synthpop DVD's? Such an excellent medium, and so little available for us synthpop fanatics, or so it seems.
I know of the following:
Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams
Ultravox - The Collection
Alphaville - Live in Salt Lake City
Apoptygma Berzerk - APBL2000
A-ha - Homecoming (OOP already), Best Of...
Silke Bischoff - Down In The Park
Camouflage - Rewind - The Best Of 98-87
Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Hard On
Pet Shop Boys - Montage
Depeche Mode - The Videos 86-98
New Order - 316
Compilations of interest:
"Formel Eins - Die Kultvideos"
1. Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams
2. Yazoo - Nobody's Diary
3. Thompson Twins - Doctor! Doctor!
4. Nik Kershaw - Wouldn't It Be Good
5. Tears For Fears - Shout
6. Mr. Mister - Kyrie
7. Cameo - Word Up
8. Beastie Boys - (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)
9. Camouflage - The Great Commandment
10. Rainbirds - Blue Print
11. Taylor Dayne - Tell It To My Heart
12. Yello - The Race
13. Fat Boys - The Twist
14. Womack And Womack - Teardrops
15. Sam Brown - Stop
16. Phillip Boa - Container Love
17. Jeremy Days - Brand New Toy
18. Curiosity Killed The Cat - Name And Number
19. ABC - The Look Of Love
20. Visage - Fade To Grey
"Still Alive - Wave To The 80's"
Art Of Noise "Moments In Love", Camouflage "The Great Commandment", Culture Club "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me", Cyndi Lauper "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", David Bowie "Let's Dance", Desireless "Voyage Voyage", Duran Duran "Wild Boys", Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)", Frankie Goes To Hollywood "Relax", Gazebo "Lunatic", Heaven 17 "Temptation", Icehouse "Hey Little Girl", Kajagoogoo "Too Shy", Killing Joke "Love Like Blood", Madness "Our House", Men Without Hats "Safety Dance", O.M.D. "Maid Of Orleans", Phillip Boa (& The Voodooclub) "Kill Your Ideals", P.I.L. "This Is Not A Love Song", Propaganda "Dr. Mabuse", Spandau Ballet "Gold", Talk Talk "Such A Shame", Thompson Twins "Hold Me Now", Ultravox "Vienna"
---
Can anybody add to the list?

Well, with one of my 2 projects, called Static Movement, we released a multi-standard video cd-rom some months ago, titled “Nouvelle Vague”. But this is not the format you’re looking for, for your list, is it?
Cheers!

Ah ... back to this topic. :-)
How about we list them by region as well. Remember...not all DVDs are made equal.
I'll try to make a list from work soon.

So far I can only think of two:
Depeche Mode - Freelove
The Cure - Greatest Hits (Eh, I know this is not synthpop but I thought I would add it anyway)
Toodles,
Aaron

I tried to stay away from heavy industrial..except for NIN...since I've been waiting for that DVD for a very long time. If you know of others not listed here for Region 1 releases, please let me know.

I recently purchased Depeche Mode's new DVD "Freelove" and I was somewhat disappointed. I understand that it is a DVD single but I guess I wanted more after only watching one live video, two complete audio tracks, and a couple five second clips.
Toodles,
Aaron

Ok. I know it's not out yet but it will be soon. I promise, really!
We've had so many set backs.
Soon they'll be a new DVD on the synthpop market. The SynthCon 2001 DVD, with footage from all the bands that played at the first event. Elegant Machinery, Cosmisity, The Nine, B!Machine and many many others. Not to mention interviews with bands and fans alike. It's on it's way.
You can always go the SynthCon site and download the trailer to see what's in store

I would so *love* to get my hands on a copy of that dance show that was on Mtv in the 80's that was hosted by Downtown Julie Brown when she did an interview with Kurt and he was all looking around ignoring her *lol* I need it for my collection.
We need an InSoc dvd or an InSoc tribute album. Where would synthpop be without them? Where would I be without IBM?

Alphaville dvd
Yes it is a very expensive dvd, I love alphaville, (i have all thier stuff, i have been to all their shows in north america) I have all their stuff including most of thier singles, so naturally, i purchased the dvd, I have to say, that i was vvery disappointed with the quality. very poorly done as far as quality goes. I am glad i have it, i was at the shows and loved them, but, very very very expensive for the quality.

Well, I ordered the Alphaville dvd ages ago, but still haven´t recieved it. But I have heard a lot about it, and it seems to be quite good even though the quality isn´t the best all the time!

You can order the Freelove DVD at any record-store I assume, it's not a limited edition.
If you want to order on-line, you can go to Infrarot for instance:
