    1 helter skelter u2
2 all along the watchtower u2

those are my votes and i feel kinda bad for dissing u2 as i do like a lot of thier music a lot,but those two songs were horrific

I did an awful cover of "Rio" that left one of my dogs deaf!

Too many to list, but Slayer's cover of Ina Goda Divida was terrible.

Don't know if anyone has heard of this one, but my vote goes to Siavash "Only You"

Of course, there are a multitude of horrid covers in all the tribute albums released every year. It's rare for a tribute album to have more than one or two good tracks.

I really hate those covers which just follow the melody, doing nothing really creative, yet totally misinterpret the mood of the song. Mark'Oh's cover of "The Sparrows and the Nightengales" is one of the worst offenders, especially since it is more well-known (at least in Europe) than the original. Die Krupps' cover of "Isolation" (Joy Division) is also quite bad in this way.

Actually that cover is not bad. But we will leave it at that. Don't want you to get all excited and start another SARCASTIC war. lol.

Seriously speaking, in my opinion; the cover of Barrel of Gun by Diesel Christ.

Well just off the top of my head and completely unrelated to electronic music is that video which covers The Door's Light my Fire (I may have the title wrong...not a big fan)
Seeing it, I was picturing Morrison himself turning over in his grave at how gay that singer/band made the song...

The Cure's cover of Hello, I love you. I'm a Cure fan and even I wanted to shut Robert up.

I spent a long time looking for Act's cover of "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" and wish I hadn't bothered. The original was jaunty, sparkling and witty. The cover sounds like Claudia Brucken was recorded while vomiting at 4 a.m. in some tacky Luxembourg nightclub.

I'm not going to win any friends on this one but when have I ever cared about winning friends? The quite possibly worst cover I have heard recently is Martin Gores cover of Nick Caves "Loverman". Upon hearing that, even I felt insulted and embarrassed. Poor, poor Nick.

I remember there was a truly hilarious cover of Barrel of a Gun by X-Act. The music wasn't bad, and the vocals weren't terrible, but the lyrics were *all wrong*. They must've been trying to interpret it from a bad bootleg or something -"do you win these horny trees set upon little feet" and "lives with Michael Caine right here in inside."

    It's painful, and yet funny.

There is no shortage of horrible Depeche Mode covers, the majority of Depeche Mode tribute albums suck arse!

I thought the Loverman cover was pretty decent... although, probably the weakest on the album.

OK... I may catch hell for this but I don't think The Cure had any business covering Hendrix (Purple Haze). That song mixed with the production values they had at the time were a bad mix. It sounded WAY too canned.

Have you heard the original? Meh. To each their own ear though.

PLEASE NO MORE \"I am a robot music.\" You are not a robot. Learn to program better like human beings.\"

Electro is House music. If you don\'t like House music, please don\'t put down Electro, because it is trendy to say it. It might suprise you that Electro and House music were invented by Gay Black Americans in the mid 80s. They weren\'t invented by the beatless people who like to coin new trendy phrases.

I am so tired of \"I want to be Depeche Mode or Erasure for the last 25 years.\" I hope I am not the only one. 25 years is a quarter of century and about a 1/3 of human life. If a person spends a 1/3 of his or her life having the same tastes, I don\'t know if that person acquired enough information to have an interesting life or has a problem understanding he or she is no longer a teenager.

So called artists who never change, why do you call yourself an artist again?
