    Talking Most Alluring Female Vocals

I Dunno about you guys but Claire Voyant and Victoria's other projects seem to entice me. I'm listening to Time and the Maiden and its extremely beautiful. Other Female fronted artists I fond of are, Lovespirals/Love Spirals Downwards, Black Tape for a Blue Girl(also has male vox), Rhea's Obsession, Hungry Lucy, Changelings, & Chandeen. If you have any suggestions of artists similar to these or the featured on some of Delerium's work I would like to know. Nothing old like Ella Fitzgerald or Rosemary Clooney, I adore those classics already.

I never really see any talk about female fronted artists except for stupid Ladytron, which I like, but is becoming more and more mainstream and kinda has this MOD image which people seem so fond of. I don't see why people dress a certain way for their music anyway. Be a mystery dammit.

    Your dork.

My favorite female vocalist is definately Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance. She can sing so well and she can change her pitch from high to low so easily. I would vote her as one of the most talented and varied singers...

I don't think Lisa Gerrard is human. No human being can sing like that.

Sarah McLaughlin was awesome around the time of "Fumbling." I think she's dulled a little bit since then, though.

Sian from Kosheen has a great voice.

There are a lot of terrible female vocalists too. Just becasue a girl is fronting the band doesn't mean she's good. Some are bad. Very very bad. Fingernails on a blackboard bad. Twitch.

Evanescence = Synthpop ??? , thats is stretching the genre a little bit, I havent heard the album but from what I've heard, they seem like a female version of Linkin Park, this is not critisisim, just a quick comparison, but synthpop, perhaps I havent listen carefully or I should maybe listen to the album , or perhaps I misread you're statement.

The airy, spot-on vocals of Barbara Gaskin.

We haven't forgotton Dave Stewart & Barbara Gaskin, have we? The Dave Stewart, the former Keyboard magazine columnist, not the guitarist for Eurythmics. I'm surprised they didn't come out with a new album this year; he's only been working on an album almost as long as Kraftwerk!
