    Default Mesh "Confined"

Sorry if this has been asked before...I'm wondering why there is a gap of several seconds in the middle of "Confined" (on the In This Place Forever album). Also, the melody gets a lot different after the break. I'm wondering if it's a different song altogether?

Yeah, the song ends and then the rest is a hidden track. Pretty standard procedure. Look at the same song on the "Trust You" single and it ends properly with no hidden track.

Thanks, interface! You wouldn't happen to know the name of the hidden track, would you?

I don't think it has one.

Officially it doesn't, although I seem to remember an interview or article from a few years back where Mark was asked about it, and he said if he had to name it, he'd probably call it "At What Point".

Isn't just a instrumental track or am I thinking of the wrong song now?

Anyway, Confined is my absolute favourite song with Mesh...the first one I heard with them, the first one I loved.

It's the one that has the lyrics:

"At what point do you give up
On what day won't you wake up
    Does anyone know that much?"

As for "Confined", I like it, although don't like how the live version (at least the one I've heard played) is such a truncated version... it only lasts about 2 minutes!!!

    Yes that's the one..
even though I find this hidden track a bit strange...seems like it's not only one song, but three or something...
    I don't understand it...but it's good, that's all that matters...

On the last tour, "Confined" was a full song ... I was also disappointed by the truncated version on the live video/cd. The part that they played on there is awesome, though.

I wish that it was longer on the live cd. It's an awesome song.

The hidden track at the end is called "At what point (do you give up?)".......and the answer to that question is the title of the next album....clever ehh.

    Best wishes.

I knew it!! So does that mean the upcoming album is the answer to "Who Watches Over Me"??

Yes, if the next album is called "The Royal Canadian Mounties".
