AVIL BABY, WHAT'S UP. Not counting their first album, I own Prostitute and Salvation (Breathtaking Blue and Afternoons In Utopia are in the mail to me actually). So what would you say if I told you my favorite songs off those albums were Paradigm Shift, Ain't It Strange, Ivory Tower, Point Of Know Return, Spirit Of The Age, Life Is King, Flame, and Control. Would you say I have good taste in Alphaville? I'm curious as to what your favorite songs off those two albums are, since you always rave bout them. Lemme know suga.

    Hey darling!

    Perfect start!!

First of all, I just wanna say that Life is King isn´t an acutal track on Salvation, just bonusmaterial on US release. (It´s the b-side to the single Wishful thinking)

I would say that you have an excellent taste, at least when it comes to you favourite tracks on these two albums. I think that if you can enjoy listening to tracks like Paradigm Shift and Ivory Tower, and at the same time enjoy Spirit of the age and Control, then you are open to very much of AV´s music! And hey, FLAME is my absolute fave song with AV EVER!

I'm curious as to what your favorite songs off those two albums are, since you always rave bout them. Lemme know suga.
    Well from Prostitute:

the paradigm shift -didn´t like it from the beginning, but it grew on me
ascension day -scary, so true, so beautiful
the impossible dream -one of my fave songs ever as well.
ivory tower - if you read the lyrics, you´ll find a lot of AV-connected phrases...
faith -wow, another sound of AV
    iron john -goooaaaaaaaaa, greeeat
the one thing -just another greeeeat song
    euphoria -a goodbye, so beautiful
apollo -isn´t it just the perfect beginning of a new era?

And Salvation (MY FAVOURITE ALPHAVILLE ALBUM)

    Everything???????????
Especially Flame (gold gold gold), Guardian Angel, Inside Out (oh that synthsolo!!), Wishful thinking (great love song), Control, Dangerous Places (makes it creeeep under my skin...), Spirit of the age, Point of no return, Pandoras Lullaby (MAGNIFIC!!!)

OK, now sweetie, I hope this is enough for a start
And I´m sure you´re gonna LOVE Afternoons in Utopia..and hey, let The breathtaking blue grow on you, it isn´t easy to like it from the very beginning (But after a listen to She fades away, you will be sold darling!!!!)

    Love
    Christina

Also check out ROMEOS on Breathtaking Blue. This song got me started listing to all of their stuff and not just the popular songs.
I love this song. And I finally saw the VIDEO. Quite interesting.

Isn't it interesting that Noah Taylor was in the Romeos video?

Romeos was one of the songs that totally turned me onto Alphaville too.

Noah Taylor is a big actor. He's been in:

    Max
    Shine
    Almost Famous
    Vanilla Sky
    Tomb Raider

I was blown away by his performances in Max and Shine. And I LOVE the movie "Almost Famous" so..

No, he's in both Tomb Raiders. He's the geek that fixes the robots and stuff. If you want to check him out, get the first 3 movies I listed though. Much better parts.
