    Default Agency-X Releases "Mission Impossible"

The debut album "Mission Impossible" from Swedish-American duo Agency-X was released by Delicious Records on Tuesday. The CD features 10 new songs by synthpop/nu-wave keyboardist Lars Wallden (of AvantGarde fame) and singer davidmahr, and can be heard in its entirety at http://www.agency-x.net.

Holy crap this cd rocks...even my friends who are usually aversed to the non heavy electronic stuff recognized the good programming. I consider "Dont Hold Your Breath(Waste of Time mix)" one of the best damn tracks Ive heard in ages...sadly I missed the cd release party when it came to Sacramento.
Anyways, this is definately an interesting new foray into the modern wave/electro stuff...kind of Human League/Erasure-ish, but a bit more eclectic.

I have been eagerly anticipating this release since I first heard of it. AvantGarde have been one of my favorite bands in the scene for awhile, and when I heard that davidmahr was teaming up with him, that made it all the MORE appealing.

If you are a fan of the lighter side of synthpop like Erasure and yazoo ... You absolutely, positively MUST GET THIS CD!

And while you're at it ... why not pop on over to my Synthetik FM page at http://www.mp3.com/synthetik and check out "Flight", a song off my forthcoming album which features davidmahr on vocals. (he really does an excellent job too)

I agree..........I just heard it today for the first time and I just can't beleive as to how much the music sounds like Erasure/Yazoo.

Great lyrics and vocals along withe the great light synthy music makes this CD a must have, especially if you enjoyed the new SWEEP CD.

Yeah its weird, I usually dont listen to the softer side of synthpop, but there is just this really unique sound to Agency X that I dig. then again I have a weakness for sugary synthlines, heh.

It soo similar to Erasure, even the vocals sound similar!!

I´m not very fond of lighter synthpop, and this was too Erasure:ish for me to like....But it´s good, very good.
This is something I will recommend to my Alphaville-friends.
