Default "Make Me Smile (Come Up & See Me)" video

Is up on the Erasure Info Service website for viewing if anyone's curious. There are also some audioclips from the upcoming CD single, including an acoustic version of "Oh L'Amour" (imo, made me cringe, but that's just me).

Acoustic + Erasure = Disaster, IMHO. Here's to hoping they're not planning on changing their style. The video for MMS is awesome! I think it's odd, but that's fine by me! Whe I saw it for the first time, I had recurring memories of the "South Park" underwear gnomes!!! I love it!

Efreak, all of Erasure's videos are at least a little odd to me. But that's OK because it makes them all the more entertaining.

The acoustic songs on the Moon & Sky MCD were nice, but it just didn't work with "Oh L'Amour" for me...oh, and I *love* OMD's "Call My Name"! Might have to go shut off the Roxette and put that in........

"Call My Name" reminds me of Erasure! I feel like a kid opening Christmas gifts! I never realized my b/f had so much great music!

Alternatronic, I agree with you completely. What do you think of the acoustic version of Oh L'Amour?

Have to respectfully disagree with you on this, unless you were talking about the original version, which I love enough to put on repeat and play for 30 minutes. For some reason I thought Andy's voice wasn't quite meshing with the solo guitar, but then again, my computer has cheap speakers and the clip available on the web wasn't the full song.

Geez. Now I'm confused. There is more than one version? Throw me a rope here!

i think erasure have lost there talent. I think they peaked out in 1990 with the chorus album. Of course there were some great songs after that, but as for a complete album that was great...it ended with chorus.

Now they have a real cheap sound to there songs, and the melodies are not as catchy. The two bsides they've come out with on solsbury hill are horrible.

I sure hope they pull up there socks for the next release...maybe get martyn phillips in again to produce it.

I think you have a right to your opinion, so I won't comment on that, but I have to agree that teaming up with Nartyn Phillips again is a great idea. He made "Chorus" a brilliant album, and has also done wonders for other collaborations. (The Beloved comes to mind)

Oh sorry about that, Jamie...actually, what I meant to say was I really loved the version of "Oh L'Amour" that was on the single (I think it reappeared on the Pop CD also). There was a slightly different mix on Wonderland as I'm sure you know. And I wasn't sure if you meant one of those versions in your earlier post, or the new acoustic version, which I still can't get into.
