Just received the new digitally remastered The The singles compilation '45 RPM' with limited edition mixes.
Brilliant stuff. Songs all about religion, politics, lust and death together with some cracking melodies.
Matt was singing about the UK becoming the 51st State of America way back in 1986 (Heartland) and in 1989 he released a track about the scary rise of Islam called Armageddon Days Are Here Again.
This is the best example of digital remastering that I've ever heard. It all sounds so crisp with deep, deep bass
The remix CD contains the original 12 inch mixes of Uncertain Smile and Perfect (produced by Mike Thorne) - two electro classics
Highly recommended if you like that sort of social commentary...
