Default mesh's album entered the greek charts!

great news for the band! "who watches over me?" entered this week the official greek charts at #38. And according to some information , next week it'll possibly be in the top-20. This is a great success, considering that the rest charted acts are Britney,Celine e.t.c.
At last, some people have taste!

    And the synthpop world rejoices!

I hope you're right...if Robbie Williams can get played in the US, Mesh should be able to also.

I read somewhere that they already gave up their dayjobs a few years ago... I mean you would wouldn't you?
How could you possibly concentrate on anything else if you were in Mesh?!

Well I wouldn´t say that Mesh is going to break into the mainstream just because they´ve entered the charts in greece (nothing bad about that country, it could be any country except DA big ones)

Avil, i agree. I believe that UK and US markets are the ones that can really affect the success of a band. But see this as a good start. The fact that Mesh charted here, shows that there's been an effort from many directions (record company, media, clubs, fans e.t.c.). I believe that this will happen in other countries too. I think that they'll have a certain publicity this time and since the album is a masterpiece, they have their chances..
Not to mention that summer is close...know what i mean?...HA!

Yes of course, I totally agree that this is a wonderful step on the way, and wouldn´t have happend if the recordcompany and everyone had worked so much with it.
Then we can´t escape the fact that it´s indeed a great album

Puressence phenomenon? what does that mean? I absolutely love Puressence, one of the best contemporary bands. Why does nobody like them?

    Heor,
in Greece most people like them. They are a very popular band, i think both of their albums stayed in the top-10 for many weeks (especially the first was one of the top sellers in 1996)while as you say in most countries they're ignored...
The same goes for Nick Cave..
I really enjoy your posts, i mean how you manage to always get me out of topic...???

Sorry, I'm just that kind of Off-Topic guy

But almost everyone in Sweden interested in music knows (and likes) Nick Cave, but almost no-one has ever even heard the name Puressence. Well well.

I hear they have a new record comming soon. I've heard some of the songs, as demos. Sounds really good!

Sorry to everyone for being so off-topicish...

How high do you think they'll get? Is the top 10 possible?

Well that doesn´t suprise me, the usual stuff.
I think people that look at the charts will like mesh because they are so different from other tracks. or they will hate them. hehe
