mesh's name

This may have already come up somewhere in all these threads, but I don't have time to go through all of them, SO:

Does anyone know how mesh decided on their name? Was it just a random name they picked that sounded good? OR:

This may be a stretch, but could they possibly have gotten it from the New Order song "Mesh" (Substance Disc 2)?

actually they said in the chat session that was held recently that it was just a name that was short and sounded good, like Danny DeVito
