If you come to the show please be sure to say hello - it's always nice to put names to faces and meet other people in the Electrogarden community. I've had the pleasure of meeting mpath3, And_Juan, and some of their friends.

After the show, my friend (s) and I are going to Korova Milk bar for "Electric Dreams". They spin 100% Synthpop every Monday night. I rarely go, as it's a Monday, but since I'll be out already, might as well stop in.

    it's on 200 Avenue A (between 12th/13th streets) if anyone's interested.

Did anyone go to this? How was the show?? I made it there, but unfortunately, I was very late (holland tunnel was closed then a train derailed in Jersey City, which led me on about 50 detours...grr grr). I'd like to hear how it went. I arrived just as BNI were leaving the stage.

I was there. Both BNI and Platform One did very well actually. CBGB's Gallery is an EXTREMELY small venue, and on a Monday night. They had fun with it. And both bands definitley have a good on stage presence.

I spoke with Tim and Frank of BNI after the show. And they are very stand-up guys. Unfortunatley, I didn't have a chance to speak with Platform One.

Also, BNI setup very quickly, as they were between acts. And for you gear buffs out there, they setup a K2000, Korg Triton, and another Korg (not sure which one), and a Mackie board. Sweet stuff! And a message to Tim, like I said I'll be glad to "hold on" to the Triton for ya

Platform One setup with a simple Ensoniq TS. I thought this was very cool in the world of powerhouse synths, analogs, and virtual analogs...they just put up the TS. Which may I add, was (still is) a great synth. I know probably the majority of their production use a hell of alot more than the TS, but it was nice seeing it up there.

    Great job guys!

    Midiripper,

For the record, the other Korg is an 01/W and we also utilize a Yamaha QY-70 (mounted on the 01/W). We use the sampling features of the Kurzweil K2000 and the Korg Triton to bring along some of our favorite sounds from the other synths in our studio, such as the Roland D-70.

We mix our synths on stage using a 20 channel Mackie mixing board (I believe it is the CFX20).

We also recently purchase a Shure wireless microphone system to give us more mobility on (and off in Tim's case) stage.

Thank you for the kind words about our performance. It was nice to meet you. We hope we will see you again at our upcoming shows.
