...Digi 002. What Should I Do? I'm doing a MIDI setup with 5 sound modules. A Fantom X8, Triton Extreme, MPC 2000, Proteus 2000, and a Motif.

All of these have stereo outputs but I would need 10 inputs and the Digi 002 only has 8.

Which modules would you recommend to use stereo output and which one should I just use mono output?

I am also thinking about using the S/PDIF connections but I dont really know how?

As you track, if you have sounds that are not really stereo relevant in your mix then you can mono those. Or just track less than all at the same time.

    Mackie 1202VLZ

Alternatively, only use 4 modules at a time.

    Not stereo relevant -- hahahahahahaha...

(Sorry, I'm a headphone whore, so everything is stereo in my setup.)

Any of your keyboards/ sound modules have SPDIF? or an optional SPDIF card? That might be a solution. Also some synths have audio inputs that you can set to pass-thru and double up that way.... OR get an ADAT interface and use the ADAT I.O. on the Digi. Oh and the SPDIF.... just get an optical cable, plug it in and set up the input on your Digi - nothing to it.

just track them one at a time =) or buy a crappy mixer from ebay and run them through that to a stereo out - the only problem with that is that you dont get the control
