buying new computer laptop of desktop

need to get a new computer
question is should i get a laptop or desktop
seems laptops are more expensive
are they as reliabale
any suggestions on one or the other beside
the obvious mobility one

i will not be needing it much to take
out of the house or anything

Tower is a better deal money-wise, but I still say a loaded laptop is better for productivity. You don't think you need be portable now, but when you have the power to work anywhere, I bet you will. That's just my 2 cents.

That is so true. I also was a desktop head and felt that laptops would overheat or break in some other way. Also, it was so much easier to open and swap parts in a desktop. Laptops are tougher on that part of things.

But today, laptops are very reliable and the ability to sit outside or anywhere and get connected WI-FI is priceless once you are there you can never go back.

Go laptop, I say!

I had some bad experiences with laptops. Just weird overheating with some HP brands which lead to unannounced shutdowns and stuff like that. My latest laptop is a dell and there have been no issues. For me the laptop is stationary most of the time so I have a plugin monitor that is a large enough screen. Also, you can then open the laptop and go dual screen which is always nice

Like honestly, Desktop is your best choice if you want to play the newest games. Otherwise, it's not a bad idea to get a laptop if you are happy with playing games that are already a couple of years old, or want to play them outside.
