Well, I've been out of it for awhile, but I have recently come across some new bands which I think are worthwhile:

    Emplosia
    James D Stark
    The Electroluvs
20GOTO10 (who are broken up now, sadly)
    People Theatre

And while they are not a new band, the latest track from Occupant holds alot of promise.

New and new, but I like Combichrist. Check it out if you like the harder stuff with pumping beats. This shit will f**k you up! (That's actually the name of his latest album...).

Also, as earlier said: Syrian is the shit. And not really synth, but quite good: Laakso. Melodic pop maybe?

Syrian, Colony 5, Code 64, and I believe VNV Naiton has released an album recently.

The new album by VNV Nation, Judgement, is pretty good. Some of the tracks grow on you, so if you don't like it right away, give it another chance or three.

James D. Stark actually has some music available right here on Electrogarden, just do some searching around and you will find it. He does an awesome cover of Depeche mode's "Halo". The next best thing to the Violator original.

And I suspect the best thing on the Violator is "Enjoy the Silence".

I don't like World in my eyes that much. I'd have to say "Personal Jesus".

I also dig these guys. My there is so much out there that is actually good. Note to self: Need to rethink the current state of music.
