    Hey,

I must say, it's quite good. Haven't heard all tracks from your myspace-page yet, but the ones I've heard sounds great (Phenomenon, Sounds from out there).

    OK, brand new recommendation:

    http://www.myspace.com/northernkind

This is a man-woman duo from Sheffield, whose musical style recalls yet another three-piece 80's electro band from that same city (gee, I wonder who that could be?) ... easily the best new act I have heard this year.

The Texas version of Freezepop ... catchy, cutesy lyrics.

Thumbs up Here... my favorite new ones

Hi there friend, by the way B!machine has been out there for quiet sometime now, I remember the first time I heard that amazing voice and dark depeche like music it was back in 2001 when a dear member of the old Electrogarden Network recommended it to me and when my user name used to be MaxMode. "Infinity Plus'' is my favorite album by this awsome artist.

Now... I think that since I heard Edge Of Down's debut ''Enjoy The Fall'' I have come to te conclusion that there's still a lot of hope for great music to come to the Electropop scene. with such brilliant album like ''Enjoy The Fall'' I can finally say thank God for remembering my prayers, LOL....
Edge Of Down is a new brilliant German Electropop band that started as a project formed by programmer Mario Schumacher and the voice and lirycs of Frank Spinath who is also the singer of the Amazing band Seabound. The production of the album is just top notch and Spinath's dark and melancholy voice is jus out of this world once again, the vocals are Spectacular on this amazing album and if you don't believe me ? I'd like to hear what you really think after you listen to such tracks like Pray for Love, The Flight, Black Heart and Isolation... It's just beautiful Synthpop melodys mixed with great lirycs and with one of the most talented and spectacular voices of this Genre...

    Hi Maximus.
Definitely agree there too on the B!Machine stuff. Their tracks on the EGN and elsewhere have been some of my faves.

I have also heard Edge of Dawn on myspace, I think, and there is yet another example of great music. You are plenty correct to say that there is still a good deal of great music out there.

    Cheers.
...I sure hope this is the real deal.

New bands... 2007 is shaping up great

Jes - Disconnect - trancy pop/rock (from the lead singer of Motorcycle ~ As the rush comes)

Sundial Aeon - Apotheosis (absolutely stunning chillout music)

Samantha James - Rise (ethereal dance/house)

The Birthday Massacre - walking with strangers (rock, dunno how I feel about rock yet)

Alien Project - Activation Portal (melodic fullon, awesome remix of as the rush comes)

Blink - The Sound Generator (melodic fullon psytrance)

Astropilot - Fruits of the Imagination (down tempo trance from Siberia)

Goasia - From other spaces (old school goa trance, very intense)

Bamboo Forest - release your mind (melodic fullon psytrance)

Helios - Aires Rising (fullon psytrance, I'm a big fan of those pumping basslines)

    --- pre-2007 releases ---

    Alex - Past/Present/Future - (old school euro)

Helene Rask - Colours (female vocal pop? not sure what this is, sounds great though... it's too light to be trance. I guess this is what Britney would sound like if she had a good producer)

Leaves Eyes - Vinland Saga (rock, dunno how I feel about rock, I never took rock seriously, until now)

Rupesh Cartel - The Disco and the what not (synthpop, very well done I might add)

I will say that music trends these days are very interesting. The new Jennifer Lopez album is a shift in a fresh direction, a sign that RnB has run it's course. Lacuna Coil's version of Enjoy the Silence is great. Sundial Aeon's Apotheosis album is the best chillout album since, or perhaps better than Delerium's Semantic Spaces. Helene Rask, a model true, but whoever produced this has an ear for both hook and melody that puts Britney to shame. Alex has done a great job recreating the magic sound of mid-90's euro. La Palma has a great euro song on Myspace right now. I never liked rock, but The Birthday Massacre caught my attention immediately. As for full on psytrance, it seems to get slightly more pumpy each year, the emphasis being squarely on the baseline in all full on psy releases. . Evanescense is an interesting band woth mentioning, because I prefer the demos over any of the commercially released stuff. They should have gotten Helene Rask's producer... that would have been one sick combo.
Let\'s make our beats so corney and cheezy that even George Bush can dance to it. ~Pop

As usual, I'm looking for new, 2009, early 80's style synthpop groups to become obsessed by. (for reference....Torch Song, Yazoo, etc)

Let me know who I should be listening to and supporting!

By the way, NORTHERN KIND is excellent!!!

    Default Suggestions:

Haberdashery: http://www.haberdasheryinfo.com ... Stephen Pearlman is heavily inspired by Erasure on this project, but think more "Piano Song" and less "Run to the Sun" ... lots of ballads on this one!

Alan Lauris: http://www.alanlauris.com/ ... from the Netherlands. Heavily inspired by the likes of John Foxx and the early Human League.

davidmahr (remember him?) has a new single out soon called "Relentless" which addresses the issue of same-sex marriage in California. I contributed a remix to that single. http://www.davidmahr.com

Hypersoul: http://www.hypersoul.us ... shiny digital electropop from Raleigh, North Carolina. I recommend "Sensational" and "Happiest of Sorrows" out of the lot.

This has got to be one of the coolest modern synthpop songs I've heard in years! The video is really cool too. I'm so glad these guys came back and are still playing the classic style that I love.
