Exclamation Ok, here the new InSoc

    Hello,

    that's it... now is official!

after many years InSoc is back to studio (recording a new album right now) and already have a show in Brasil in August.

In 1999 Kurt & Paul comeback to work together and recorded 4 songs. Since them all the things were slowly move on... with the VH-1 and the small show in 2005 make the things more fast...

But unfortunately Kurt is not the singer anymore, aside still have credit in the new songs/production and in the name of Information Society.

    the new band are:

Paul Robb, James Cassidy, Christopher Anton (vocals) & Sonja Meyers (keyboards).

Paul promised follow the classic InSoc sound mixing with the modern club styles, here his letter to the InSoc fans:

    ----------------------

    Dear Information Society Fans:

About six months ago, after Information Society played a show in New York, I became excited by the idea of reforming the band to tour and record a new Information Society record. I felt the world had been without Information Society long enough. I spoke with James Cassidy who was very supportive of the idea. Kurt Harland expressed a reluctance to make a time commitment due to his demanding job, and the impending arrival of his new baby. After friendly discussions, Kurt gave his blessing for James and me to carry on Information Society with out him. So now we are moving forward with our new singer, Christopher Anton, who has already made a positive contribution to the group. We've also added keyboardist Sonja Myers.

We are very excited about the new songs, and we can't wait to share them with the world. We are also currently discussing plans for live appearances. We value our fans very greatly, and we are grateful for all your support over the years. We will let everyone know the minute anything happens.

And never forget: "It's a great big disco world!"

    ----------------------

I already take a listen to the new stuff (only the demos) but with Kurt in the vocals, and is nice... I don't listen anything with Chris vocals yet, but I take a look at his other stuff and I like, aside I hate his cover version of WOYM... hehehe :P

But I like his voice in his other works, and seams a big DM fan and seams that will fit in the InSoc sound... aside I don't like much to say that "InSoc is back!" since Kurt isn't there... :\

but seams that we gonna have another great band outhere...

    well, I'll keep you informed...

Cue the creepy Laugh-In guy: "Verrrrrrrrry interes-tink!"

It's nice of Kurt to not be an ass about InSoc continuing without him, especially considering how his presence (lyrical and image) contributed heavily to the original lineup. We've all heard diva-licious horror stories about other bands, and I'm glad that Kurt and the rest of the band are above all that.

In any case, I'm looking forward to hearing the result.

I believe this is Christopher Anton's(new lead singer) Myspace. He was in a goth band back in the 90's and in 12/2004, he wanted to do an Information Society cover.

and here is SOnja Meyers(new keybordist) site. Dude and dudettes, she is actually a real muso, a singer and a producer.. I like her music man. It does have a synth funk vibe to it.. Paul Robb will definetely benefit from her input.

Yeah. I’ve met him a time or two in my travels. His band was never my thing, so I’m a bit leery of his involvement in InSoc. However, it IS Paul Robb and his production, so maybe it’ll be good.

I remember Pseudocipher doing a show once and he fell through the stage...it was a riot.

Naw, it was just a crapy, old stage at the the place they hold Release the Bats in Long Beach (where Das Bunker used to be as well). It was still funny though.

This is the best news I've heard all year
