    is there such thing as a hardware mono pattern sequencer ie:Matrix in REASON?
    i know REASON is based of the classic synthrack design, but do they actually have hardware liike th Matrix Pattern Sequencer? ive tried searching but can find a straight answer to whether i can buy a hardware device like that and hook it up to my keyboard?

    Back in the old days, analog sequencers were used with analog synths to trigger patters of keystrokes. To be honest, I'm not sure these old guys would work with modern MIDI synths because they sent control voltages (CV), not MIDI data. Most modular and analog manufacturers had at least one sequencer available in their product line.
