    Cosmicity rules...

Cosmicity is better than Iris... longer-lived and more frequent output (**ducks the shoe Stephanie throws**) . Great, catchy and memorable synth hooks in every song. Cosmicity will be sorely missed...

    Default ...dam*it.

    ...dam*it dam*it DAM*IT!

Why am I stuck in this backwater he*lhole of a mullet-infested town (Louisville KY) instead of somewhere cool so I could see Cosmicity AND Provision in the same night?

    Why why WHY?!?

(sorry people, just venting at the lack of a "scene" in my locale...)

Anyway, I simply MUST get that Cosmicity box set.

Hehe. You rule Shervin. Thanks for singing along with all the songs you knew. Without your help, I probably would have forgotten a lot more lyrics than I did!

San Antonio was a blast, with Provision, CTRL and Desamar all putting on really great performances. Breye from Provision is my new hero. As the promoter of the San Antonio show kept flaking on us, Breye kept saving our ass. In fact, we had to wake him up at 7am to take us to the airport after he went to bed at 4:00 'cause the promoter abandoned us yet again. Breye took us there AND said he was happy to do it! Now THAT's a cool guy.

And the show in Detroit with Freezepop was a blast, too. They're a superfun band and really nice people. And I'm really glad I picked up a couple of their CDs... their lyrics are so clever!

The new songs I performed at these shows (In-Flight, Tinnitus, Regenerate, Oxygenius) all seemed to go over well, so hopefully that's a good sign for the new album. Only a week or two 'til it's out now!

A little something just for the synth-master:

I got the "I love pussy synthpop music" T-shirt from a band called Waterline Drift. Oddly, they're not a synthpop band (hard to classify... more like really tripped-out ambient rock) so I have no idea why they made this T-shirt, but regardless, I sure love the shirt! Their website is http://www.waterlinedrift.com . If you click the "merch" link, you'll see it there available for order. ;-)

OK, being that I am the promoter I think I need to defend myself. First of all Breye was in charge of this show, so he wasnt saving your ass, he was supposed to help you guys out for me. Kelly made sure on Saturday night that Breye understood that he was taking you guys back to the hotel since both bands were stayihng at the same hotel. As far as the ride to the airport in the morning it was relayed to me by Kelly that on Saturday night Brye agreed to take you to the airport in the morning so Kelly thought that everything was taken care of. SIN13 did not abandon you , we thought everything had been worked out and that Brye was aware that he was to take you to the airport. If anything it was miscommunication and not neglect. Breye was a great help to me at this show and I pretty much left it in his hands. I apoligize if you felt abandoned but that was not my intention. I wish you had voiced you concerns to me privately but I understand your complaints as it must have seemed that way. I have a great deal of respect for Cosmicity and would never treat you guys unfairly or wrong intentioanlly. Veronyka

Veronyka: Well, much of this is news to me. To address your thoughts: I thought I had voiced my concerns as things went along. Like early on when I wasn't getting responses to my e-mails about airline tickets (which we eventually resolved), then later when I hadn't heard from you at all about where we were to go when we arrived (again, a lost e-mail issue?), then again when you were leaving the club before we had played and I asked who I should get a ride from. You didn't say to talk to Breye, you said to talk to the guy who had been driving us around earlier that day (who was bartending that night). Well, he was no where to be found at closing time, and no one knew anything about driving us anywhere. So then Breye vounteered. So if you had worked something out with Breye, I guess he acted like he didn't know about it? Then the next morning I expressed concern on the cell phone whenI woke you up about the fact that we were going to miss our flight, remember? 'cause no one came to pick us up? And you said that you gave your car to someone to give us a ride, but they never showed up and you couldn't reach them by phone or something. So then you said you called Breye to see if he could help us, but you could reach him. So we were stranded. Fortunately I knew which room was Breyes, so I went and knocked on his door and woke him up and asked him to take us and he agreed. But he said very specifically that he hadn't heard from you and didn't know anything about it. In fact, he checked his cell phone and noted that he hadn't received any calls at all. But all of this is between you two. I'm not saying what's accurate or not, 'cause I don't know. I wasn't a party to your conversations. All I know is what I saw, ya know?

In the end, it doesn't really matter. We got where we needed to go, and we played a fun show in San Antonio. I appologize if our various states of confusion were not your fault and I made it sound like they were. I'm not behind the scenes there with you, so I don't actually know what caused what. All I knew was that we were stranded a couple of times there. But look, I realize that the cost of bringing us down there did not match what you collected at the door - so we're just appreciative to have had the opportunity to do the show.

It ain't a big thang. We appreciated the chance to do the show, and ultimately what we took away from it was the memory of a fun gig. :-)
