Talking C'mon, admit your former fashion faux pas

Okay...it's common knowledge that we are all so uber chic NOW, but inquiring minds want to know...what fashion mistakes did you make that still make you cringe when you drag out the ol' photo albums?

For me it was that formidable tuft of stiff hair otherwise known as MALL BANGS (eek). All I can say is it was 1986, I was 12 years old, Madonna was my hero, and my mom had ample Aqua Net in the house.
    Your turn!

Heh, I still look like a dork because my mom still dresses me funny and I hate going clothes shopping myself. LOL!!!

I used to think I looked really cool wearing those huge oversized button down shirts in the 80s, (buttoned up all the way) with stretchpants and of course topped with a brooch at the top button, those gigantic hip belts, color coordinated socks and capizios. sometimes in neon.

I also liked those bubble gum strechie jeans, with those horrible suede "smurf" boots.

I think the 80s were filled with wonderful fashion faux pas... glad, in a way, that i got to live thru it all.

I ... um ... my entire life is a fashion faux pas.

Let's see, worst of it, however.

Really long "Duck Tail". 7th grade.
    Off-brand parachute pants. 8th grade.
    Peroxide orange hair. 9th grade.
Very strange attempt at Robert Smith emulation. 10th grade.

I stopped trying after that until college when I just became a complete mess.

I'm not a good test case for style. I'm an awkward size. Built kind of like a football player.

OMG I did the Robert Smith / Siouxsie hair too!!
I've also shaved my eyebrows, had a red mohawk, had a chelsea, (yikes) and had a thin rat tail (like Amy Mann from Til Tuesday) besides having my hair almost ever color you can think of!

Oh. I am soooooo gonna regret this. In my senior year in high school - just before our senior pictures were taken, I got a perm. Not a nice, wavy, natural looking thing either. A tight, early Neil Tennant - type thing. I have a chubby face, so it was WAY less-than-flattering on me. My mother keeps my senior pic hanging in her living room. If that weren't bad enough, I had horrendous acne, and a cold sore on my upper lip.

THE SHAME!!! I NEED TO LET GO OF THE SHAAAAAAMMMMMEEEE!

Okay. I did that too, but I rather liked that look! My hair was so hard, you'd have thought I washed it with Viagra shampoo. That's hard!

OMG I wore that exact outfit, add a double strand of pearls that hung to mid-thigh.

ok, i admit it, i once owned a monogrammed sweater, and wore it twice (but only because a friend gave it to me and i didn't want to hurt her feelings ... now i think she was trying to get me to conform!)

i went thru the lop-sided haircut (one side real short, the other long) even had a rose red flat top at one point, wore mens under shirts with an oversized blazer, torn jeans tucked into my boots. But that sh!t looked good ... and i would wear it today if i could pull it off at my age.
it\'s a pleasure to be here

I always ended up looking like a Linebacker in Drag.... especially when I tried to wear makeup. My "goth" (I don't think we called it that then...) friends told me they'd make an exception for me if I promised to dress normal.

I was a hormonal mess through the tail end of puberty. It wasn't funny to me at the time but it sure is a lot to laugh at now.
