OK--what was the big deal with respect to About Schmidt. God awfully boring, I thought.

    NoirTech,

Have you seen the special director's cut of Aliens that just came out yet? I'm dying to check it out. I hope the additional scenes aren't just the deleted scenes that appear on the DVD incorporated back into the film.

Are you getting Alien & Aliens confused? The director's cut of ALIEN comes out this Halloween. The Aliens director's cut has been available on DVD for about 4 years now.
If you are talking about ALIEN, I'm pretty sure it will be the deleted scenes that are on the DVD that will be put back on the theatrical version. Doesn't mean I WON"T be seeing it though, since I love that movie as well.

I walked out of the theater during "Eyes Wide Shut".
Not only did the movie outright SUCK, but the soundtrack was like, "will someone PLEASE get the cat off the piano?!"

Event Horizon - worst movie ever

    Also bad:
    Powder
The Scarlet Letter (with Demi Moore)

What these have in common is the smae girlfriend convinced me to see all of them. After the second one, I was skeptical. After the third one, I stopped letting her pick the movies.
