Ooo, ooo, ooo Mr. Kotter!! I remember her. I was in love with Robin Givens at the time though.

Hmmmmm, something shocking. My introduction to music (beyond my double vinyl disney hits with Bear Necessities on it) was my sister's 45 of Pat Benatar's Hit Me With Your Best Shot. Once I first heard it, I wanted it so we got in a fight who would have it that morning and my dad came in and broke it in half. Later, he grounded me for a month for using my allowance to buy a picture disc of Dare (which he broke too). It was like $13 plus shipping and handling and it had take me like 7 weeks of allowance to save up to get it. I guess what is shocking (or maybe it explains it all) is that I'm even crazier about music now than I was then (and still crazy about that Human League!).

Okay, I'm game. I'll make a complete and total ass of myself...
Here are some things that most people don't (and should never) know about me...
1. I tried to have lesbian sex with my best friend in high school, but we ended up laughing too much and we decided we weren't gay after all.
2. I used to sing to my cabbage patch dolls when I was 8 years old.
3. I was a petite model when I was 21.
4. Ummmm....I like to eat mayonnaise sandwiches.
5. I once wrote a fan letter to (GULP) Tina Yothers and she responded! (hey it was 1984...I didn't know any better)
6. I didn't lose my virginity until I was 18 (unless you count the almost lesbian incident)
7. I am so anti-drug it's not even funny. I don't ever want to be out of my head...I kinda like it in here. I tried pot in high school, suffered my first panic attack and I would never do it again.
8. I used to be a dominatrix.
9. I have lived in every major US city.
10. I am majorly self-conscious and I have had several bouts with anorexia nervosa.

Menstrualla: how close is Lewiston to Mt. Desert Island? It's a familiar town name.. just curious... Maine's a huge state...(My inlaws have a summer house up in Northeast Harbor)

Not sure Dave...I don't generally go north of Augusta, and I'm thinking that the place you mentioned is probably way northeast of here. Sorry.
If it helps...Lewiston is about 40 miles northwest of Portland.
Oh, and I feel your sentiment about "ack...crying babies". That's why I am awake...AGAIN.

Oh OK... yeah, I probably see it on a sign on my way up there from Boston... it is fairly North East but we come within striking distance of Augusta on the trek.. just curious.

As for crying babies...

it's my life... twins... they are teaching us parenthood boot camp style.

I'm glad this Jup thread popped back up today because I was thinking about it this morning. My shocking news is that I am in love with Katie Couric. I watch the Today Show religiously before work (that's the 7-8 hour) and although I am programmed to hate her, I can't. Anyhow, this morning I thought of you all because in their I Love The 80's segment on Rubiks Cube, they had some cubemaster doing them quickly to DOA's You Spin Me Round. That perked me up right away.
