These lists are always funny. They remind me of those tests in school where you have to pick out which doesnt match out of 4 possibilities.

    ie...
    A. dog
    B. cat
    C. goldfish
    D. airplane

And on a sidenote... I get the feeling that some people here dont have 10 industrial cds. Hence lists of 8 discs citing Hocicio 3 times. Whats the deal?

And Manson - PoAF c'mon. Here is my top 10... take note

    My Top 10
    Korn - Follow the Leader
    Rob Zombie - Hellbilly Deluxe
    Filter - Short Bus
    Nine Inch Nails - Broken
    Tool - Aenima
    Rammstien - Sehnsucht
    Gravity Kills - s/t
Stabbing Westward - Whiter Blister Burn and Peel
Prodigy - Fat of the Land
    Fear Factory - Obsolete

hahaha... sigh... i just wasted 10 minutes.

Korn and Prodigy as Industrial also ? Do I see some sarcasm on that list ?

I'm glad someone finally pointed that one out. Never.

    Question

    no particular order:

    laibach - opus dei
    spk - leichenschrei
    :w: - music for a slaughtering tribe
einstuerzende neubauten - haus der luege
MZ412 - in nomine dei nostri...
    suicide commando - mindstrip
skinny puppy - too dark park
    das ich - staub
    converter - blast furnace
genocide organ - the truth will make you free

mmmh... i'm not sure all of these are 100% in the "industrial" cathegory, sorry ;-). it may be interesting to know what do we mean by saying "industrial" anyway... i feel there's a little dischord about it.

i dont see much love here for Individual Totem. i always thought their two releases were destined to become industrial classics. especially 'mind sculptures flesh'. the best industrial cd of the late 90's imo.

    In no particular order...

    1) NCC - Seven Steps of Nervousness (I can never get bored of this, all I want is more NCC but haven't heard a peep about them since Gashed folded. There's meant to an NCC mix on an upcoming Flesh Field single according to FF's page but those were meant to come out AGES ago! Is Inception still running?)
    2) Coil - Scatology
    3) :W: - Bunkertor 7
    4) Skinny Puppy - Last Rights
    5) Die Form - Extremum
    6) Index - Ultra Hard Shadow (what happened to Index?)
    7) Ivory Frequency - Plug-In
    8) Project Pitchfork - Chakra:Red
    9) Neubauten - Haus der Luege
    10) NIN - er... anything but Fixed and the horrendously dull Head Like a Hole 10-track single

    And some of the worst:
    1) Morgue Mechanism - The Sweet Apology of Death (horrific Puppy-a-like, 2 good minutes on whole CD)
    2) Decree - Wake of Destruction (it shouldn't suck but it really really does...)
    3) Pride and Fail [sic] - Nephesh; Culture Kultur - War; Der Klone - Ich Will Der Geld Von VNV (they're not bad per se, just uninspired and terminally dull and derivative)

For what it's worth - here's my ten

    Laibach - Opus Dei
    Portion Control - Step Forward
    Nitzer Ebb - Belief
    FLA - ReWind
    NIN - Downward Spiral
    KMFDM - Nihil
    Rammstein - Mutter

    Foetus - Nail
    Front 242 - Up Evil

These are the albums I think are the best all-round from the bands that have influenced my musical tastes.

Following on from previous postings, surely Neubauten were one of the bands that the industrial label was created for. If they are not industrial then no-one is.

Once again, I really need to do this in front of my collection (which is disturbingly overrun with early EBM/Industrial)

Ok first caveat, I'm including anything from the early EBM/Industrial days, not just loud, obnoxious synthpop.
2nd caveat : Seraphic said "You would still listen to over and over"

    my tentative top 10:
    1) ClockDVA - Buried Dreams
    2) FLA - Gashed Senses & Crossfire
    3) Front 242 - Official Version
    4) A Split Second - From the Inside
    5) Skinny Puppy - Mind: TPI
    6) Click Click - Bent Massive
    7) Borghesia - Escorts and Models
    8) Mentallo & the Fixer - Where Angels Fear to Tread
    9) Leaetherstrip - The Pleasure of Penetration
    10) Borghesia - Resistance

Wow, typing all of these has made me very nostalgic. I need to break some these out again.
I am on myspace because no one else is.:
