    Question Relaxing cds

I am trying to stay relaxed and calm. Are there any particular cds that calm you down? I have a little list of cds that are peaceful, but I could always use another suggestion. Mine are:

    Red Flag~The Lighthouse
    Goldfrapp~Felt Mountain
    Conjure One~Conjure One
    Royksopp~Melody AM
    Balligomingo~Beneath the Surface
    Delerium~Poem

I listen to New Age music when I want to relax. Also found the two CDs by the Clarke & Ware Experiment to be relaxing, but quite a few people seem to find those monotonous or irritating.

I'll probably get argued with by someone (there is always someone who doesn't like Sarah Brightman), but I always listen to anything by Sarah Brightman, in particular:

    Sarah Brightman - La Luna
    Sarah Brightman - Classics
    Sarah Brightman - Timeless
    Sarah Brightman - Eden

But I must agree that anything by Enya is always good too.

I don't know if you're an Acid Jazz fan, but the old "After Hours" series is great to relax to.

    ninetynine by Haujobb
Alterity by Xingu Hill [bit on the dark side, but it always makes me feel like I'm floating underwater.]
Trace by Gridlock is excellent too, if you don't mind skipping the aggressive tracks. The softer ones always calm me right down.

There are some bands that I have never heard of before. Hmmm. I guess I will be hitting amazon.com soon.

Yay! There's some Enya fans on here! I was worried I might be the only one, so didn't want to suggest her music for fear of being laughed out of here.

Well, I also like Yanni too, so I guess you can start laughing now

Hah, now I can come out and say it - "In My Time" would definitely be added to my list of all time favorite CDs ever...Yanni just has a dorky name and looks like that guy that plays a cowboy in all his movies...Sam something or other...but his music is fantastic...

    I *adore* her!
My fave Sarah track is "Deliver Me".
The Beloved also did a wonderful cover of it, and their music always soothes me too.
    Other fave Beloved tracks:
    Sweet Harmony
    Spirit
    1,000 Years from Today
    Time After Time
    You've Got Me Thinking

She played on Broadway opposite Michael Crawford in "The Phantom of the Opera", and has since gone on to make herself a successful recording career. Don't be embarassed. I haven't heard of half of the groups in EGN until I joined.

Hmm, well, then I won't be embarrassed. I am still pretty new to the world beyond depeche MODE. It's been almost 2 years since I reached beyond that realm and into the realm of other bands. Sad, but true.

Anything from Rosenstolz relaxes me. As does Royksopp and Maria Callas.
