I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this song. I first "finished" it in October of 2006, and loved it... for about a week. Here was the title track for my new album! Then I heard it again with fresh ears and rated it at best a b-side, at worst a downright embarrassment. Eventually I rewrote the lyrics and updated the arrangement. It was slated to be the title track for a high-profile charity compilation. I was in love again - maybe this was one of my best songs ever! The charity compilation fell through, and then I wondered if it was even good enough to include on my album. But I figured, I might as well finish it, right? So I did, and I'm thrilled with it... for now. ;)
LAST 20 COPIES OF DEPECHE MODE TRIBUTE
There are exactly 20 copies left of Color Theory presents Depeche Mode. If enough demand exists, it may be released as a physical CD again someday, but definitely not in the ultra-cool and ultra-expensive Super Jewel Box. You can order one of the remaining copies here:
