Hell yeah I'm going!!! It's going to be like hanging out with all the O.G. Peppers (Artesia), Red Onion (West Covina), and Phantasia (Puente Hills) club-goers from way back!!!
You know what though, I bet this will probably turn out to be one of the best shows I'll ever attend, these little shows always turn out to be great :)

Hmmmm, this 7red7 guy is talking my language! :)
I'm down, and yeah I wish the clubs would have the same ambience it had in the '80s - early 90's. This should be a crazy night indeed. I remember club Jolt (Variety Arts Center) and another Fantasia (Bonaventure) in Downtown, not to mention the REAL Stigmata at the Probe, when raves were actually underground or wherehoused and glowstick-free with German Techno pulsing from HUGE ass ghetto speakers.
Thanks for making me all nostalgic and stool!

If any of you guys showed up to this joke of a concert, I'm sorry for even mentioning it to you guys in the first place...It was a disaster from the get-go...
We arrive at the venue at 5:45 as we were told doors opened at 6pm and the show would start promptly at 7pm...We payed an outrageously demanded $50.00 each for v.i.p. tickets which basically meant we could use the plastic folding chairs to sit down in the first four to five rows...So we wait in these unconfortable a** chairs until the first act, Goia of Expose takes the stage...
Goia was absolutely amazing and rocked the house, and we all needed it as the show didn't actually start until 9:30 pm!!! Thats right two and a half hours after the stated time!!!
However, by this time, the overly drunken audience filled with a very young clientel had begun to get a bit too ancy, and fights started to break out in the over-capacity filled bulding...From what I later heard from a bouncer outside, the promoters started selling tickets to anyone walking up for under the admission price just to fill the club more...Couple too many people with cheap drink prices and you'll get a fire that will burn everything in it's path...
By the time the second act hit the stage, Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock, the crowd had had enough and started making it's way through the so-called v.i.p. section we paid too much to sit in, and crowded the front of the stage all around us...They didn't even play one complete song, rather they just went on amping up the crowd more and more and by the time it was over, had well over 20 people with them onstage dancing drunk, girls stripping. and I even saw one guy and girl on the floor reinacting a sex scene...It was a disgrace of a show...
People were getting way too rowdy, the club was overfilled, and we decided to leave...Easier said than done...It literally took us 23 minutes to make our way through the crowded rooms and out the only exit in the front of the club...Looks like (even though we missed the rest of the show) we got out in time...There was three firetrucks, two paramedic rigs, and three ambulances taking three people away on gourneys from being injured in the fights...
Sad too because I saw Berlin play the same venue last year and we had a blast...Ibiza is a great venue, really big, great sound and all, but this night was just ruined by some ghetto a** people...I mean c'mon, when your own security staff says "this is ridiculous, this place is too cramped, and it's gonna pop before the night is over" you know you got problems...

I was there too... Oh Dan, where were you at.... I almost got into a fight with this ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤...
You know how like there was a patio.. This guy bumped into me and said "you want to dance(meaning you want to fight)" I said to him "i dont dance with ¤¤¤¤¤¤s ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤" and I left..
anyway, if you think going to a synthpop concert is boring..... Whewwwww, if you see Expose and Lisa Lisa, they didnt even have a band man...
Rob Base was cool... no band either..
I left after Lisa Lisa.... Frankly Dan, I didnt feel like I belong there, I felt alienated cause it was toooo gettho for me.. ... Where were you at man? I was looking for you.....
Oh and regarding Expose, what happened to the other two girls? they were not there....

I know the flyers said Expose, and everytime Stevie B. came on and made an announcment about the show starting time being postponed, I kept thinking, but Goia was the only one doing the soundcheck...
It was only Goia of Expose, and to us she was really good, her vocals were amazing!!!
We were sitting in the very first row against the stage ont he far left first two seats...Did you see the big paper Heineken stand-up prop on the left side of the stage, we were right below it...We kept looking for you too, we took turns getting up and walking around to find you...We were worried about you man, it was getting out of hand in there...I'm really glad you made it out alright though :)
Who I was also really concerned for were the older people in the crowd...There were some middle-aged people in attendance a lot of original old-school fans...The guy next to me was 46 years old!!! He and his wife took off after Gioa, it was getting too rowdy for them...A possibly great show ruined by little f*****g kids who can't hold their liquor!!!
Aside from being there really early, we got to see all of the acts do their soundchecks so it wasn't that bad, we did get to see everyone play live so to speak...However, the real highlight of the show was seeing Goia slap that idiot she brought up on stage with her to dance after he felt her up and grabbed her breasts..."WHACK!!! What the f**k was that all about! If you want to grab my boobies you have to ask! I may look like a ho onstage, but 2nd base is my choice!" That was classic!!!

Wow, sounds like you guys had a great night! Fights, drunken ghetto people and cramped quarters..sounds like a barn burner.
Hey, Mark, I'd really like you to uncensor the above "I don't dance with....." comment. I'm dying to know what you REALLY said....
If someone ever asked me to dance, I'd simply state, "Sure, do you prefer the Tango or West Coast Swing? You lead." LOL

Yeah it was really funny, as I was trying to make my way out of the building, this guy doing is hands to his chest old school vato-loco esse dance looks at me and says; "What Ay?" I look him back and say; "Ay, what?" *insert rolling eyes* Then he says; "Que quedes chingaso?" (Do you want some, or fight whatever)...I say back..."Shouldn't you be askig someone where they're form or something?" I moved him aside by pushing his right shoulder away from me and walked past him...Dude, I was twice his size and could have broke him in half...It was comedy for me watching this little kid trying to act tough...
Ah our youth of today...Where are the a** kickings we got as kids growing up from our older siblings and our parents??? I'm beginning to think thats why we have such a conceited, violent society today...Parents stopped spanking and punishing their children, and most of these little kids grow up thinking their invincible...

well, Dan, that was my first time going to a club with ppl like that.... It's a turn off
this is why I prefer going to New Wave clubs(EBM, Synth, etc) cause ppl are more refined and cool..

Wow! Seven and Slippy--like Batman and Robin! Was it more like "Que...quedes...ch--ch--in--gaso?" Love the old school Cholo dancing. Love to do it at weddings!

Like I said, I'm really sorry for mentioning the show, by encouraging you all to go there I somewhat take the blame for the danger present I put you in...
I don't think any shows should be like this...Be a gang banger or nice, or preppy, or goth, rocker, Christian, Pagan, neo-nazi for all I care, whatever the hell turns you on...But when you get inside the venue to see a show, leave that identity crap at the door and pick it back up on the way out...Your paying to see bands you like to have a good time with other fans of the band...So have fun is all I'm saying...
I guess my days of supporting the local shows here are beginning to dwindle, the locals where I live are becoming ignorant more and more by the day...

HA HA HA I saw that guy being wheeled off of the patio entrance, talk about a light-weight!!! ;) Good-times!!!
I just wish it all went better...I'm glad I got to see Stevie B. do his soundcheck, but he only did three songs...I wanted to see him and his band (the only guy there that night with a real backing band) tear it up in front of a crowd :)
