In my obsessive and unending quest for great synthEBMpop, I've come across an album that is getting better with each listen: NamNamBulu's 2003 "Distances." Wow. I'm a finicky synth addict, and I can't remember the last time an album as a whole has interested me. (Closest is Informatik's "Nymphomatik" which has 6 amazing songs on it.)
Once you get into his voice, the songs on Distances really impress themselves upon you. It has a driving emotion and melancholy feel thatis madefor a depressive poet like myself. I justrealized that another song I love (Lights of Euphoria: Nothing at All)uses the same singer. Anyway, I just had to recommend this CD to everyone.
Other recently foundsongs of interest:
And One -Sometimes (I can't stop listening to it)
Velvet Acid Christ -Pretty Toy (great intro music, but I prefer more melodic vocals)
S.V.D. - Big Bad City
Spektralized - CD "Elements of Truth"

Welcome to Nam NamBulu fans club, Veganmaster. :-)
I'm sure Henrik would be pleased to see another such kind of a thread. I've been telling everyone about NamNamBulu for quite a while and they simply the BEST synthpop/electro newcomer in my book.
You're lucky to have owned "Distances" album already, veganmaster. I can't wait to get my self a copy of this new one. Hmmm...... when can I get mine, Henrik? :-)
Cheers.......

Yes, they are definitely the bets newcomer I can think of....
I'm on a roll now! I just found the mp3 of a song I have wanted for a long
time but didn't know the title or even the artist! Turns out it was Cellarful of Noise "Samantha" (all hailgoogle). I managed to find a website with the mp3 (the song has been out of print for a long time I guess).
Wooohooo.

NamNamBulu are great!
Their music totally kicks... As you say, you have to get used to his voice first (it's quite like Elegant Machinery's singer... but different ;)).
I really love:
Now Or Never
Memories (listen to the Observe & Control remix)
Nightmares
BTW- Thanx to the Lights Of Euphoria note... ;)
Good luck to them!
Anat.

I just found Namnambulu [courtesy of this week's Real Synthetic Audio playlist,] and I just had to add my love for this group. Really excellent stuff. At first I was a little taken aback by the vocalist voice, but after just two listenings I've decided I love it. Very different and interesting.

I remember enjoying this band a lot some months ago, but now I´ve totally lost them. Does anyone has the page to their website?

Just happened to come across this thread... shame on me, but I don't come here too often. I guess I'll have to change that...
First of all, thanks for the nice comments on what we do, what other motivation dies one need to continue with a project like ours.
Well then, ok, a few answers to what I see.
@Crow242:
Touring the states is high on the priority list, but I guess we'll have to work the grounds a bit more and get our name spread still. In Europe we are already going quite well, but in the states we have only just started to be mentioned... and a world tour? Well let's start easy :)
@Avil:
Yeah, the web adress is quite confusing ;o)
@Dawn:
Thanks for being compared to one of my favorite bands :O) I'd love to hear if Elegant Machinery would agree with you.
@Veganmaster:
Thanks for your praise. We really hope to get to know you in person one day... actually all of you... internet is great, but there is so much it can not replace or produce... a handshake for example.
For the ones interested in getting the album... in case anyone does buy albums anymore :), we'd recommend ordering it in the states, as you are more likely to get it. We have had quite a few shipments that got lost on the way... there are just too many dishonest people on this planet.
But for the moment, it might be difficult to get, as the last shipment was returned to us by US customs... seems like they don't like our music though :O)
