Hi guys,

It’s always fun to talk about Summer Movies especially if you’re one of those movie-lovers outhere. So, let’s we all chat about MOVIES.

Terminator 3 seems to be dominating this weekend. I have seen this one myself. To me, T3 is simply so-so; it provides all those fun-movie-experiences with loud sounds & loaded actions for sure but it simply just that.

I’m just so looking forward to next weekend; the release of “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” and "Pirates of The Caribbean." I think it’s gonna be AWESOME !!

What movie you think is gonna be the biggest of them all this Summer? Any particular movies that you are dying for to watch this Summer?

Cheers

They both look great! I love movies. The last one I saw was X Men 2, which was awesome. What was even better, was it was a matinee, and there was nobody else in the theater but us. A private show! Yayyyy! :)
I'm personally looking forward to Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde. I love Reese Witherspoon. Charlie's Angels 2 looks good as well.

I've heard god things about those movies, so I am expecting them all to do fairly well and to at least be ok. :)

You've definately got a great deal there. Watching a matinee together can be beneficial like that sometimes......... I just hate it to see a movie with jam-packed people inside a theater; especially when someone was blocking your view or they're too busy making noises with whatever food wrappers they had when the show's already on. I try to avoid evening show too.......but not that much time I have left for watching matinee............ So, I'll usually go to watch a movie after they've been playing for a week or so.

Jamie, you should rather watch a romantic movie with your partner instead of "X-Men 2." :-)

Haven't seen "Legally Blonde 2" myself. That "Charlie's Angels 2" was unbelievably so dumb........literally UNBELIEVABLE.

My fave for this summer so far is "28 Days later"! Excellent bloody shocking Zombie spladder movie!!

I liked "Hero" a lot, too. Beautiful images and a fairy-tale-like atmoshpere.

I too am looking forward to POTC..but also for ulterior motives (wink)!!

Saw 28 Days Later, which was brilliant and still deciding on whether to go to the cinema to watch T3!

I don't watch that many movies, so the one's I select have to call out to me in some way or the other! Cheers!

28 Days later is definetly a step above most "zombie" movies. But it is at the same time so highly overrated I want to vomit. This movie wasn't great, it was barely good for that matter. There were a few refreshing aspects to the film but thats it.

Well..to each his own! :)

Thought it was decent due to the fact that I haven't seen a good horror type flick in quite some time!

I liked it a lot... But I'm not so much in to big Hollywood productions kinda things and more into off-movies, so maybe that's just my special taste...

I'm with Destral on this. "28 Days" is so overrated. It's pretty nauseating indeed. What we need is a good horror flick, yeah......nobody seems to be able to come up with brilliant idea for a horror movie anymore. That's a bummer.

Italian Job was an unexpected surprise. Don't expecting to see the Best Thing Ever Made but rather a fun little film with a plot that is inventive (if not used a million times by now).

Charlies Angels 2- dunno, maybe I was in the mood for pure crap but I like it. IT got bogged down towards the end but the first 3/4 is good, sort of like watching a dozen trailers back to back, no plot, nothing remotely like real life, just fun.

This one looks pretty damn good to me: www.freddyvsjason.com
Having been a fan of horror movies since childhood, I am looking forward to this duel!
Yayyyyy!

Been on a movie kick this weekend.. saw T3 a couple of days ago and I thought it rocked. The Terminatrix chick kicks much @ss and I think I should be that indestructible! haha. Great ending and plot twist and overall killer special effects.

Also got to see a pre-screening of Pirates of the Carribean last night. Whoa! This movie is AWESOME! Johnny Depp and Geoffrye Rush are amazing actors. It's a clean movie (made by Disney) so not especially gritty (the way I prefer my pirates hehe) but the fight scenes are great, the effects and costuming and the ships are fantastic! Very funny too, Depp has great delivery.

Go see! Personally, I still want to get to 28 days, hearing good things.

I LOVE this movie. Definitely a nice surprise for me..........Great plot and twisted ending......... I just adore those 'beetle-like' cars....the small Italian cars, I assume. Don't know what it's called though.......Cute cars.

I loved 28 Days Later. The best horror film I've seen so far this year. I didn't really see much hype about it. I don't watch tv too often and I only saw one trailer for it this year and it was extremely short. So I had no expectations going into it. I usually will watch most horror films at the theatre as long as they're not teenie-slasher fare like "Valentine" or silly fluff like "Queen of the Damned".

As for other horror films this year, Wrong Turn was ok and House of 1,000 Corpses was kinda fun but it felt like a comic-book. I'd like to see Identity but I guess I'll have to wait for the DVD.

X2 was great, better than the original and I liked the original quite a bit. Charlie's Angels 2 was fun and on par with the first. I'm always up for tough girls beating the crap out of people. I'm looking forward to League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Freddy Vs. Jason.

Haha... where does House of 100 Corpses stand on your zombie barometer?

Thanks, Changeling! At least someone who agrees with me... It's strange most of you American guyz are so critical about it. Here in Germany that movie was agreed to be an insiders' tip...

POTC..me thinks opens here in the UK on the 8th of August! I think it's out in the States already partly due to it being Disney and that sort! Four weeks to go...yeah!

Can't wait..though usually, I think this isn't my sort of film...I have alternative reasons! Hee..hee!

You know, I love horror/suspense films; but lately I expect more from them. I want a fresh twist of an ending.

Best movies I've seen this summer:

The Good thief (Bless Nick Nolte)
Winged Migration
Russian Ark
28 Days
Whale Rider
L'auberge espagnole
Northfolk
and yes I think the best intelligent summer commercial movie so far is the Hulk.....Nick Nolte rules!!!!!
