Yes yes happiest of independance days to all...Even if you're not from America, it's okay, party along with us anyway theres plenty of beer for everyone!!!

In all seriousness though, please party safe, take care of each other, and for god's sake keep the illegal fireworks to a minimum...I don't want to come in here Monday and read some thread about someone losing a hand :)

the man and i had some great bbq'ed food earlier in the day then walked across town later in the evening to check out the fireworks near the statue of liberty - we got two shows - Jersey City's and NYC's :)

both were colorful, showy and loud - hmm kinda like me ;)
LOL
hope everyone had a great time

we stayed in and gestated... we did walk down the street for a little while to eat at our local japanese restaurant, that was awesome..

we watched "The Hours"... man, what an awesome movie...

we skipped the fireworks this year even though we could have just gone outside... we only live a few blocks from the lake where it all happens... (beautifully)

can't wait to raise kids in this city. it'll be fun. our short walk was nice. rebeccah can only handle a few blocks these days before she feels like she's carried ... well... two humans and all sorts of accompaniments...

peace,

dave

I'm gonna have to rent that ("The Hours") Nicole Kidman has been doing nothing but great movies lately. I saw it when I went to the video store, but... No excuses.
Next time.
A new baby! I suggest mom play plenty of EGN material, and so the baby can hear! I bet she's president in 2044.

Well my 4th was very uneventfull...I spent the night working as usual, but I did get home in time to hang out a couple hours with friends, and got a chance to see my neighbor blow up his last home made bomb...*LMAO* It took a small divet out of the blacktop in the street

Had some leftover BBQ and got a good beer buzz going...I'm such an oakey at heart ;)

I wish i wasnt' allergic to cats - I would love one... not to mention I have two birds (a cockatiel and a yellow collared macaw)so they wouldn't really like it if a cat lived with us too!

but i have a soft spot for this little dog tho - he's so good, he listens, he's smart and he's not a barker :) . I'm gonna cry when he goes home.

the one thing that has kept beccah and i from going for a dog, short of the fact that our place is... well, it's city townhome, it's not large... but even so, dogs are JUST about as high maintenance as a kid. so much more responsibility than a cat. our cats give us all the love AND they're independant.

NOW, if we can train the twins to use a litter box!

I have to agree with you Dave at least it's that way with two of our three dogs...Two of them are just a nuisance sometimes, the barking, the chewing of furniture, and the making a mess of their food...Oh and don't get me started on bathing them...

But my Polmeranian is sooo lovable and smart...He not only behaves, he actually seems to know his name too *LOL* Seriously, he comes when called, was able to be taught to sit, lay down, speak, shake, and give hugs and kisses...I'm proud, I just taught him to give hugs a couple weeks ago :D He's gentle, doesn't bark much, and he loves to play...He's nothing like our other dogs for some reason...

As for me, I bought four pints of Boddington's and saluted Kirilian, Tay'line (sorry if mispelled), and everyone who lives in the empire upon which the sun would never set. Boddington's is very expense 'round here...

The wife went for nails and hair appointment. I went looking for a guitar stand for the newest addition to the Jupiter musical arsenal...to no avail.
