Ok. I went to see a psychic with a bunch of work colleagues. Years ago.
This was what he said. (BTW. This was Phill Jordan, who has been featured on such shows as Unsolved Mysteries... If that helps.)
Phill:
You can do writing and things of that nature...
Yes. I took creative written expression in High School, and won a couple of awards. I also had a letter published in BILLBOARD magazine.
Phill:
You will witness an accident. You will not be hurt, but you will meet a short-haired blonde. She will talk to you.
Fast-forward about three months later. I was heading to work, when I hit the same patch of ice that others hit. I was not hurt. A (yes) short-haired blonde woman came to me asking what we should do...
Phill:
You will meet someone named Kevin and/or Jeff that will have a strong significance in your life.
My doctor's first names were Kevin, and Jeff. -- Laugh if you must. They both saved my life.
Phill:
Your lucky numbers will be 5, 6, and 1.
I never played the lottery. Dammit!... But I named my next cat Erik Frasier the 1st. E (fifth letter of the alphabet) F (sixth) 1st. (D'uh)... And I did this without thinking. (But then again, I do everything without thinking.)
Next?

My dad used to get psychic dreams. Once he had a dream that his car was leaking oil, so he got up and went outside and it was.

My teacher said that psychics and clairvoyance are being born each day and that they becoming more common these days.... He said that it's part of our human evolution.....Sure there are some fake ones who likes to make a quick buck....
I never really had any psychic experiences... This is why I rub my balls(crystal) to get a reading....(wink)..
E-freak? whats your name bro? Did you marry the blonde woman?

Mark, Jamie (Efreak) is a good friend of mine, and he openly "bats for the pink team" so I don't think he married the blonde woman. :)
Back to thread topic: I've had quite a lot of paranormal experiences, including prophetic dreams, past life recollections, receiving (channeling?) messages from a higher source, speaking with loved ones who have passed on, and even seeing a ghost of a neighbor who used to live downstairs from me (she died unexpectedly during a surgical procedure...I guess she was confused on how to "get home".) Somehow I integrate it with my day job as a lab rat
All right, so when will I be laughed out of the EGN?

I don't know if this counts, it could be viewed more like intuition, but many, many times I'll already know the query someone's about to ask and sometimes the answer as well! I will also know sometimes, someone's course of action before they take it! It really stuns people sometime's but I really think nothing of it! Having a very strong Celtic link in my background, I've been told by the Eldars that the ability comes through the bloodline for some! Who really knows! I do feel that my thoughts are very old however!
When I was in my youth, I could read the back of cards and do other such things with uncanny acuracy!

:sobbing: Oh, the horror... ;)
Channeling is being able to receive and transmit either energy or words from a nonworldly source. Speaking with someone who is no longer living is a form of channeling. Some people channel entities that have never lived on Earth. Depending on what it is a person channels, there are different ways to do it, but it's only happened to me while in meditation or a trance state.
You were creeped out about the ghost? Imagine what it was like for me! It happened late one night too!!!

I am not sure what this counts as but oh well..
My boyfriend and I have the same birthmark. I am a virgo with a leo rising and he is a leo with a virgo rising. He was born on a full moon, and I was born on a blue moon ( 2nd full moon in a month). Umm what else, oh yeah! When he was a boy he used to imagine a girl with long blond hair and I used to imagine a boy with long black hair. We met online and never knew what each other looked like, but then we met and we looked like our dream person. Soulmates!
Today is our anniversary btw! 4 years together. Happy anniversary!

That's cool, NightHalo...and congratulations on your anniversary! I'd say the two of you made an agreement with each other before you were born. :)

I think you are right. I read somewhere that soulmates are just one soul that was impatient and wanted to get through the experiences faster, so they split in two. I am not sure if it is true, but it is something to think about.

Really? Did you also know that the Psychic Friend's Network was going under? You could have been a MAJOR asset to that company!

Why do psychics bother posting their hours on the door or wait until April to file taxes?
Anyway, my mom went to a psychic in the 70s...or 80s...and the seer said that she and I were brother and sister in England in the 19th century. She was older and I was but a lad in knickers.
My cousin went to a psychologist and explained that all of his life he felt like a dog. "Hmmm...how long have you been experiencing these feelings?" asked the therapist. "Ever since I was a puppy," he replied.

Personal Opinion:
Any psychic with a neon sign in the window or who charges money to help others is an exploitest and just cold reading and probably not very well at that. Cold reading you ask? It is when one uses anothers appearence, expressions, reactions and gestures to predict things about them in order to make the subject believe that they actually know things about them. Hell, even I can freak people out by doing it.
That is not to say that I do not believe in such things as ESP or the like, but those who are more so 'connected' to everything also realise that taking advantage of others is actually harming themselves. It, ESP in general, is an step in the evolutionary latter. Is it so hard to believe!?! We only use something like 7.5 to 8 percent of our brains. We can't even begin to imagine what using 20% let alone more then that.
All species survive for the chance to evolve and better themselves; if this was not true then species would dissolve and fade from memory because they would not be able to adapt. The only constant is change.
Evolution is the only goal, but will we survive the evolution of man from man? . I think that I started rambling again! *Bouncy, bouncy*

I have the opinion that if anyone were psychic then they wouldn't want anyone to know. Imagine the possiblities if others found out! I do believe however that many people do possess the ability but in levels that we cannot control. So yes, psychics with neons signs I would be wary of. However if one wants to be entertained go for it!
