you know what, I really really appreciate Human League for helping the synthpop community by letting underground electronic bands open up for them.... See, they understand... Hats off to them....

BTW, I luv Travelogue too..

Good point, hats off to them yes. They are obviously choosing a local synthpop act throughout their tour (Travelouge.. Provision.. ) instead of bringing their own opening act. I think that rocks .. they are opening doors for underground talent. Anything Box did the same, as well as Cause and Effect. Now if we could only get Depeche to do it as well.. ;)

I could think of no better act to open for the Human League, than Travelogue ... especially as Jon Sonnenberg is VERY heavily influenced by the music of the old pre-Dare Human League (hence the Travelogue name) ... I think what would really rock is if Jon and the League collaborated onstage with some old material from the Travelogue and Reproduction albums!

The thought of them collaborating onstage with older material would be incredible, either way Jon will be in his element and loving it...I am sure it will be his best show yet :)

Travelogue's website is :

http://www.artoftravelogue.com

There aren't any mp3 samples on the website unfotunately, but you can get information there.

The label Travelogue is on is Plastiq Musiq

http://www.plastiqmusiq.com

They used to have mp3 samples up, but they are in the process of redesigning the site so I think they took them down temporary.

My radio stream is temporarily down, but it should be back up by later this week (http://www.live365.com/stations/230040) ... I have three Travelogue tracks in the rotation currently: "My Car", "Conversation", and "Cactus".

Try it in a couple days, and see if it works. :)

You can also try Jon's previous project, House of Wires, which has mp3 samples: http://www.mp3.com/houseofwires (I think that's right) ... it gives you some indication of what his later Travelogue material sounds like.

I wish I could see this show! Too bad Travelogue cannot open here in San Jose CA for the Human League show...ask if you can guys! I have not heard of any bands opening for the League for the August show here? I am a big fan of Travelogue and think the exposure would be very beneficial.
