Okay, so this is the thread of dreams. Relate and share all of your nightly (or daily) dreams and visions. It can be a daydream, life dream, or a nightly dream.

Here is mine from last night:

I was swimming across the ocean which was fresh water and luke warm, and I was going back and forth from island to island. One of the islands was Delos and another was called Kynthos (a mountain on Delos). With me was my "best friend." On the islands were various important people. I remember that she and I swam to Kynthos to wake up someone (apparently we were swimming all night) and the person scolded us for being away from our class.
After this dream I had another dream where the psychology teacher I had in high school was telling me to deliver a letter to a science teacher. The letter was his notice that he was fired; however, the science teacher knew and avoided me and I ended up just wandering through the halls..

Your turn.

As a child, I had this recurring dream about this old, rusty railroad overpass about 15 miles from my home. In my dream, I'd be in the car with my mother, and as we were trying to balance the car's tires on the two tracks to cross the bridge, they [the tracks] would start to separate. Then I would wake up, literally, covered in sweat. I decided years later, that I would face my fears. I drove out to that very bridge on my 25th birthday... At midnight. I sat on the edge of that bridge for almost two hours, listening to the creek flowing gently beneath my feet, and watching the traffic pass in front of me. It was one of the most enjoyable, peaceful nights in my life... And it was at that moment I realized, that facing fears is one of life's most rewarding experiences. Glad you started this thread NH. Felt good to remember that evening. Going to bed now, to dream of more pleasant things... G'night. :)

My dream is to wake up with an Italian Princess with her arms around me ..

I have a reacurring nightmare of wakeing up with bionic parts and being forced by some underground resistance to lead them against some highly advanced Alien force yet i had been reserected from death by what was Frozen of me. I was neither nor female and humanity had become like the grey because of tecnolgy and the lack of oxygen in the air!

Synth Dj Ram gets the women at Apoptygma Berzerke shows Stepehen Groth is such a digsgusting wretch :)

The best dreams are those which involve flight--not necessarily Virgin Air--but free floating about the bedroom and out the window ala Peter Pan. Certainly, these are symbolic of freedom...the worst involve delivering a lecture in which you are not prepared and notes have somehow escaped...

Uh huh. I often dream that I am with someone that I care about, and I tell them there is something they should know about me. I spread my arms, and levitate off the ground. It's almost the same feeling I get when I listen to a *really* great piece of music.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

I have nightmarish dreams pretty much every night. I can't tell ya how many times I've woken up short of breath or panting or how many times I've heard myself argue loudly in my sleep before waking up. I rarely dream anything good or positive. And for some reason, most of my dreams involve me being some sort of sexual stalker or murderer or some other supremely deviant behaviour. They always have a very cinematic quality to them, like sweeps and pans and a soundtrack. (cue strings..)

Last night I once again dreamt I was some sort of sexual predator, which usually involves a fair amount of x-rated "scenes" and it always ends up with me killing people. It's funny, because the character (me) in my dreams has no control over the murderous instinct.

Argh! I hate sleep. in general I wake up every 90 or so minutes and I have this weird thing where I invariablly wake up around 4:00 AM almost morning, even if I got to bed @ 2:00 AM.

Everyone tells me I should go to a sleep clinic, but I'd rather sleep when I'm dead. :)

Usually I can't remember my dreams, but when I do, it's usually a message to me, because it'll come true later on. Or else it'll be a dream where I don't know anyone in it, but one of those people is me...I've had psychics tell me that those were past life experiences. OK, you can start laughing your heads off at me now... :loco:

I have never had a recurring dream, but I have a lot of dreams where I am getting chased by someone or something that is trying to hurt me. One dream it was zombies, another it was giant insects, couple others it was the government, heehee. In these dreams I am usually trying to save others, like my siblings, and because I stay to help I usually get caught.
Last night I dreamed that there was an ancient native american settlement near where I lived and there were groups of ancient elephants in the area I had to hide from. Well there was this one tradition they had where girls would have to carry a bike through the wooded area to a male friend or husband or whatever. Well this was a practice run and so I was just going to run for my best friend, boy. So I had to run carrying a yellow mountain bike over my shoulder, and all us girls were jumping over logs and stuff haha.

I want to have that channel! That would be soo awesome!

On a side note, I have had some really wonderful and strange dreams. Many of my dreams I use for my poetry. It usually comes out rather well.
And labrat don't worry , I have had some really deep dreams. I have even had an apparition in my dreams tell me truths about my soul. Talk about waking up exhilirated! Maybe someday I will post here the entire conversation I had in that dream since I wrote it down.

My dreams, at least the one's I recall at the moment are like watching vivid snipets of many people's lives..they go from sequence to sequence in no particular order and make no sense..at least in this existence! I never see myself, just only watching through my eyes! Many are surreal with flying, transporting, and the like! Also there are 'mares with my legs always trying to get eaten by some creature or being hunted by a beast! I am always some sort of warrior in those 'mares but I never get to finish them because I wake or the dream rapidly switches to something else!

Victor - the next time you come over take a look at my dream books... Typically you're dreams mean the opposite of what they really are.

I usually have extremely abstract dreams - like this one where i had a little cuts all over my body and when i scratch them huge colorful nerf ball foam like shapes pop out of them. LOL, no lie - then when i go to tear them off my body, dark reddish brown blood pours out but there isn't any pain.

*sigh*

That is a bizarre dream but if it does happen in life send me one so I can Physcoanalyse it! We could news the nerf balls to develop and clone you your Monkeybots ...................................

I thnk dreams are an amaseing thing i try well dont know how to say try but want to dream odf certain things and my dreams are normaly quite avent garde or abstract like a Dali painting nothing concludes to anything of reals sense in 90% of dreams and when im not dreaming or day dreaming im always looking for answers thats something i cant escape in reality or the subconcious...Its a bizarre world and were all bizarre creatures relly at the end of the day!

A couple of days ago I saw that I was on a ship travelling to an unknown destination, and I was standing at the edge of the ship, risking a fall, looking at the crystal waters and patting the head of a dolphin. They told me that was supposed to be good, but nothing good has happened as yet. However, seeing a beautiful dream is just amazing, you wake up in such a blissfull mood, and full of energy!

Two nights ago I ahd this weird dream that I was being charged with "Treason against the Empire." Darth vader was the prosecuting DA, and was wearing a suit and tie, and his mask. We were late for the opening arguments, though, because it's hard to maneover an imperial shuttle through heavy traffic. But imperial pilots like to swear a lot and lay on the horn.

Yeah, it was weird.

Yeah, I can just picture Vader choking the witnesses (using the force) during cross-examination while the dishonorable Judge (Emperor Palpatine) watched from the bench.

We could call it, "The People's Court Of The Death Star". ;)

As for dreams, I had one two days ago where I was following a vampire up some stairs. The only description I could give is that the stairs were marble..

Ugh, that sucks...I hate it when the alarm clock goes off in the middle of a great dream too.

When I was a child I would sometimes have nightmares of being chased by some unknown entity and I would always wake up terrified before I could confront whatever it was. Bummer.

This reminds me of yet another Golden Girls moment.

Rose: "I had the strangest dream last night. I was watching a baseball game. Charlie Brown was pitching, Snoopy was the catcher, and Linus was the shortstop. -- And they wouldn't let me play. What do you think it all means?"

Dorothy: "Peanuts envy?"

Do any of you guys remember that movie "The Last Unicorn?" Well as a child I somehow morphed the Red Bull and Sesame Street's Snuffalusagus into this horrible flaming midget elephant that would come into my room and try to get me with its trunk....to this day I'm terrified of both cartoon characters.

I remember the Last Unicorn. That was one of my favorite movies when I was 3.

I had a strange dream last night. I was at a club and Mark from Red Flag was there and his brother. I kept trying to get to them and tell Mark something urgent however I couldn't. This was all supposed to be in the past, before he passed. Then I remember running outside and it was someone's driveway and then suddenly I was on a bed and next to me was my old poetry teacher. She smiled at me and she curled up on the bed and fell asleep. I walked through her house and I could hear my English teacher (her husband) talking in his sleep. He yelled very loudly. Then suddenly he was awake and he was leaving for work and he had about 5 or 6 of my books. The only two I can remember are Klingsor's Last Summer by Hermann Hesse and an AS Byatt book. I remember being happy that he had them.

Then I awoke... As far as I can interpret this dream symbolizes the people I miss or have lost somehow...

I'd say your take on that dream was correct, NightHalo. Did you not enjoy the two books your old English teacher had, or were they ones that he introduced you to that you liked?

I have not been able to remember any of my dreams for quite some time now. Argh! Guess there just isn't enough going on in my life?

I have some sleeping pills that my doctor prescribed. One of the side effects is vivid dreams. I had one two nights ago. I dreamed that one of my past friends, was on a bulldozer. She started at the top of the hill, aiming to hit a woman, but she swerved and missed. But then she hit another woman. Head on. At, like 100 MPH. I saw what she looked like after being hit. It was awful.
I threw those pills away, BTW.

Actually the Hermann Hesse one I just bought for my boyfriend the other day and the AS Byatt book could have been the one I read or one of the ones I haven't. I am not sure. When I was in his class, I enjoyed the books he taught. He made us read books like Count of Monte Cristo and the Oddessy and other such interesting books. I loaned him a book years ago and he gave it back to me about a year ago when we (his wife, he and I) had dinner together. So I am not exactly sure what to make of the book part lol.

Efreak: Good thing you got off those pills, that nightmare sounded pretty aweful. I wouldn't want to have more than one of them.

The last dream I had involved an ex driving a milk truck and me trying to drop off bottles of milk at peoples houses at 3am. Nothing odd happened. Fairly boring dream but it was a weird deal none the less. Story of my boring ass life I guess :/
