sweet! you should pick up our new album "sundown". i think you can order it now. i haven't received any copies of it myself yet but i know you can order it from a different drum, cdnow, amazon, etc... =) i'm curious to see what people think of it. it's bit of a departure from the last album. it's more pop, more vocals, shorter songs etc

Wow! What a year! But you must add Declaration to your list. We are still hopeful of a July release.

ECHO IMAGE .............. I don't exactly know the fate of this band anymore nor their current development. After releasing "Endless Day" MCD, we just have to wait SOOOO LOOONGGG to even get a hint of what their sophomore album is gonna be sound like.
These guys just need to speed up a bit. I'm sure plenty of fans are restlessly waiting for the sophomore album from them.
Other anticipated great release would be: NEW CONCEPT.

Bloodhound Gang - "Heavy Flow"
That's the only one on my list here.......wait, I may have a few more
oh, and the Perfidious Words remix album....
and Seabound, of course (who died with a what?? blasphemy!).....
New Concept's should be fun, long overdue.....
Hate Dept....check (gotta have my angst)
Mobile Homes..check (Kent's producing, cool)
and finally, if they ever get a record deal, the debut of HYPE (you know, that funny Swedish guy Robert Enforsen from that funny synthie-pop band, Elegant Machinery)
Wait, gotta couple more: Fictional, Advanced Electronics 2, Obsc(y)re, Equatronic, Neuroticfish, Psyche, Distain!, Children Within, And One and Melotron.....

Ok folks, my list for late 2003:
"Time and Space" - Ganymede
"Urbanism" - Empire State Human
"Escape Pod for Two" - Cosmicity
New albums (currently untitled) from Norway and Travelogue
The debut album from Astromill
The new album from Chalk Circle
The new Space March album
"Evolution 2" from Cohaagen
"7 Songs for Etherstrings" - Etherstrings
Also, add to this, my personal debut Synthetik FM album "e-mc^2" which I hope will be ready before end 2003. A blending of my own synthpop sound with guest vocalists (including Nukleon, davidmahr, Gary Flanagan, and Kiss the Star).
And also on a personal note I am looking forward to the debut Shadowplay release "Electronica in Shadows", The "I Am Gothic" Spray remix project, and the "Liquid Blue" single from Empire State Human (as I am participatingi n all three!) :)

Hey Synthpopalooza/Bobby Clark!
Again, thanks for remixing 'Dollar In Blue Collar' for us. It sounds great on the new 8-track single 'Liquid Blue'. Here's a little bit of opinion/info which relates to your remix on the CD.
''This is a snappy, super cool retro remix of another track from 'Urbanism', remixed here by Synthetik FM. It’s pure synth-pop and very catchy as well. It’s completely different to the album version and brings something refreshing to the song (which is what all remixers should do in our opinion). Bobby Clark added a new middle late section to it, which is very J.M Jarre and sits very well into this new mix. Along with other bassline changes in the verses, the riffs will definitely keep your foot tapping throughout. It could easily have appeared on our 'Pop Robot' album, as it’s got that 100% synth-pop stamp all over it!''
Regards,
Aidan

It was a pleasure to work on this project, I enjoyed it very much, and of course found it very enlightening. I can barely wait to start on the next one.

What I'm really looking forward to is the new album from Moonlife. They are probably my favorite modern synthpop act and no one ever talks about them (maybe because they release their own stuff or maybe it's because they don't sound anything like DM). Samples of the new album can be found at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/moonlife2 and they have downloads (you can't deny "I Heard You (On The Telephone)") at http://mp3.com/moonlife . Give it a listen, it's good, fun, catchy stuff.

Cosmicity, Seabound and Hype are my big ones for the rest of the year. They'd better get a record deal though. I'm getting sick of waiting.
The new Cosmicity is going to rock your socks off (I should know). Seabound will definitely be good.
But aside from those three, I'm not really waiting for anything later this year. Kind of a bummer, but oh well. It'll give me more time to work on my own stuff.

the Moonlife album is absolutely solid! Nothing groundbreaking, however... it's traditional, friendly, very catchy. Really well recorded. It's a fun record. Worth picking up for sure. Any fan of synthpop and catchy pop music will dig it!!

Well, it's only been out for a month, and I just got my copy last week so I was looking forward to it when I posted my original message. You summed up what I wanted to say, because the album is completely solid. I was worried that I had already heard all the good stuff since they had about a fourth of the album posted on mp3.com at one point, but the rest of the album is at least as good as the tracks that were already out there. I always take it as a good sign when I've got multiple songs off an album stuck in my head. Sorry if I sound like a crazed fan, but I'm glad someone else has heard the Moonlife album too.

Erm, didn't your debut album already have several remixes on it? And wasn't there a limited edition version of your debut album with an entire second disc full of even more remixes? Why in god's name do you need a third disc of more remixes? Band idea or label idea?

I know that we tend to be but a blip on the collective synthpop radar, but let me cast aside my modesty for a second here. You should all be keeping your eyes and ears out for the Brand New Idol "Better Than You" maxi-single that we are planning on releasing in September. We have enlisted the aid of some of the finest remixers in the U.S. scene for this project. Some you'll already know and some you should know. I can't go into specifics now, but let me just say that this is, by far, the best project I have had the fortune to be a part of in my 15 years in synthpop.

Both of our ideas actually. Since the remix Cd that came with the limited was LIMITED to 100 (both Balance and the LTD. version are nearly sold out), we wanted to offer another disc containing great new remixes by some of the most recent European chart toppers and some brand new GLIS material as a compliment for our upcoming tour this fall.
