Just got back from WGT 2003 in Leipzig. Anyone else here go? The best holiday I've ever had, with around 30,000 people going, there wasn't one moment of boredom. Of the bands who I saw this weekend the ones who really stole it were Dulce Liquido who also played parts of Hocico songs and went down a storm, God Module/Negative Format who were excellant, Soman who got everyone going and undoubtably should have been furthur up the bill and Welle erdball whose stage show were amazing.
I just hope those photos we (me and boyfriend Mike) took arent all of peoples heads and our thumbs!!
I'll be going next year!

I am awaiting my pictures to be developed, I'll post them when they get done (hopefully Friday).
I'll try and do a review of the show by then too. (work and hangover are a serious impediment at the moment!!

WOW I envy you guys I would love to see Dulce Liquido I got their new album couple of weeks ago "Shock Therapy" and what a great album "Anticristianos & Pissed Off" Are great dance tracks. I would love to see Dulce Liquido perfoming here in the U.S but I don't think it's gona happen. So Racso was singing and Erk was playing the keyboards this time huh?? interesting :-)

Hi you bezerkangel,

I too was at the WGT (Wave Gotik Treffen festival)!! As usual, it was brilliant and I make it a point to go every year! The crowds just seem to grow bigger and better every year! I met a lot of clever and nice people! Can't wait for next year! Hopefully Diorama will play! At least Diary of Dreams was there! That was wicked! I agree that that Dolce Liquido put on a brilliant show and the Welle: Erdball show was stunning ..wouldn't expect anything less than from those blokes! There were so many bands there, some old favourites as well as some new likes! All in all, a weekened with good fun and much ado! Cheers! Nam`aarië!

BE AT PEACE!

Lucky you! What songs did Dulce Liquido play? I can't wait to see your pics. I hope that Racso decides to play here in California in the near future. Sounds like you had a great time.

hey, i was there too! and I can relate Dulce Liquido has performed a great show! I've also loved Decoded Feedback, Negative Format and Mesh...and Cinema Strange too, though they're not electro, I've enjoyed their stage...
anyway I think the WGT is a so special occasion bands are on a second level...I mean living for over 4 days in a city completely full of nw/goth/cold meat ind. /electro people is the funniest thing...just like a fairyland black-clothes-people! :) for who has never been there : try it! No comparison with any other festival!:)

Only way to sum it up was excellent..Trade mark mask was worn, new one this time, as for which songs they played couldn't tell you (little to pissed if you get my meaning)5060% was their new stuff !Humid dreams! rocked the entire hall, truely great show.
WGT is changing towards more the Electro scene and that was evident this year. Before you had these types of bands playing in the smaller venues but this year the were in the very big hall, so all you Electro/EBM/NOISE/ETC/ETC make WGT an addition to your diary for next year, because it rocks and you guys need to be there.
