View Full Version : I Wanna Rock yo' Body!

I am by NO means, a boy band fanatic. If you saw my cd collection, you'd believe me! But ever since catching N'sync (yes, you heard me!) live at Madison Square Garden on HBO a few years ago, I've kind of warmed up to them. NOT the concept, per say, but N'Sync themself. O' town be trippin'.
The point of this thread is, well, there is no REAL point here ... other than to say, WHO ELSE THINKS JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE IS A HOTTIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? UGH, I wanna rock yo' body.
LOL!

A hottie??? Nah not to me anyway...Cute, but in no way on the hottie level-he he he!!! ;)
The boy's got some talent though, his solo stuff is pretty good, I gotta give that to him :)

"I'm gonna have you nekkid by the end of this song"...
That new song of his cracks me up... atleast he's tongue in cheek about it.

Am I the only one who thinks he's mimicking everything that Michael Jackson did? Even his high-pitch voice sounds freakingly imitating that of MJ. Eventually, he's gonna be as weird as MJ too. Ouch.......

OH GOOD LORD! I can't beleive you are using talent and Justin Timberlake in the same thread. Shame on you Dan :) Yikes! aside from singing I am sure he had very little else to do with this album.
"Rock you Body" is just a bad Jamiroquai impression...

oof... not only do i think hes NOT attractive at all but i dont like that song and album at all (i dont care if Duran duran's John Taylor reccomends it) if he's supposed to be ''mature'' it's not working - he makes me laugh my ass off. IMO he's the epitome of fluff, smoke and mirrors. the only thing good i heard from that puppet was the Basement Jaxx remix of his song.
oh and another thing... someone should break the news to him that he's not black.

When i was a kid, i didn't want to hang posters on my wall of some kid that looked like every kid i went to school with...Justin Timberlake looks like any whigger wannabe jacka$$ i grew up with...and i don't want to hear some kid singing about "doing me"...i'll take the pathos and angst riddled poetry from the 80's...thanks :p
Bands aren't as beautiful or interesting or talented as the boys from the 80's...*blows kiss to Duran poster circa 83 on wall*

I've said it before and I'll say it again OH GOOD LORD! Basement Jaxx did a remix of Justin Timberlake, hopefully they removed all the vocals and it sounds nothing like the original. OH THE HUMANITY!?!?!?
And John Taylor for shame...

Ladies and gentlemen, please remember that art is subjective and highly individualized. However, to call what Justin Timberlake does art...well, that is objective, and art it ain't!
My dogs won't even watch the MTV when he is on...and they'll watch anything! Yo Bad Azizi!

Justin writes his own songs. I'll always give somebody credit for that, regardless of whatever social stigma their musical genre represents.
His new music doesn't bother me one bit. Is it something i'd buy? Perhaps not. But, it doesn't pain me to hear it. The Strokes, on the other hand... ;)

Pretty much everyone knows he's jacked Michael Jackson. There's being infulenced by, and then there's just plain rippin off.
Besides, the only reason it sounds okay is because the Neptunes produced it.
Yeah, a white kid can have soul. I grew up in all black schools for more than half my life, and definetely am influenced by the vibe of brothers and sisters. So Justin just needs to step back and do something original. More of us do!!

We all take too music too seriously here to accept that hunky Justin has a kick ass tune with "Rock Your Body." Not only is it the best Michael Jackson song since Destiny's Child's "Bootylicious," but it's got the Neptunes hit factory production which guarantees the song is listen-able, and who doesn't melt a little when Justin turns into the human beat box at the end of the song (I'm usually nekkid at this point). Actually, I think the best description of his solo album came in a review of his album that said that certain points in history the top producers/musicians are drawn towards a certain talent, such as Bowie in 1970-something and that the difference here is that Justin brings nothing to the table, but that doesn't mean you can deny the producers.

hee hee!! I agree with some of what you all said. I disagree with some too. I juss d o n ' t kera ... I wanna rock his body.
This is the FIRST and perhaps ONLY boy band album I've bought and I'm loving it. Not because it gives me goosebumps or because it moves me or because the lyrics are deep. I'm just open-minded to it. I don't know why! I like Justin ... I think he's adorable and the songs are catchy as hell and FUUUN! Owww!

If we're talking Justin, then the song for me is "Cry Me a River". There's just something about it. Maybe it's that the song and the whole CD are just so well produced, written and performed. I don't know but I like that song a whole lot.

n sync sucks
the neptunes dont suck
justin timberlake is just a body and an untreated voice
the neptunes are rockin' your body
just like madonna is just a body and a voice
and mirwais is doing everything else
down with fake pop!

With regards to J. Timberlake, what's with alll the hatin'? The Neptunes may be doing the rocking, but I doubt I would like the song if it was OZZY doing the vocals. So give J. some credit.

Well I personally do not think he is that great, but then again if he was I wouldn't really care, heehehee. I have a friend who is absolutely obsessed with him. She has pics of him all over her room (I just stare at them in disbelief haha) and she kisses the picture of him in her Justin calendar every time she is going by it. She says she has been in love with him since he was in the Mickey Mouse Club, and I know for a fact she writes very strange fan fiction involving him and herself, lol. I don't really understand her whole obsession thing, but I find it entertaining at times lol.

I personally cannot stand N Sync and I saw maybe the last 30 seconds of Cry Me a River once. A lot of people around school sing and do his dance (I think it is his) and I just beg them to stop for the love of God haha. I don't really have a problem with him I guess as long as I don't have to hear him, heehee.
