I was at a club last night and I met these people from the States who mentioned to me that the band Subversion will be playing in L.A. the latter part of this month or early next month promoting John Koviac's (Subversion) new album! I absolutely love this gothy-darkwave band!
Is this rumour true? Do any of you know about this band? Can anyone provide more relevent information about this? If this is correct and true, then I'll definitely be taking a few days off work and flying out to the States! Crikey..I'm keeping all fingers and toes crossed! Nam`aarië!

Subversion?
Is this the same Subversion that did the song "The Victim" on the Ninthwave Electricity compo? Doesn't sound lie it, because this Subversion had more of a Human League sound (female lead vocals) ...

No...I believe the Subversion of which I speak is a mostly a one-man band fronted by John Koviac of ex-London Atfer Midnight fame!
Can anyone tell me if this band is really going to be playing L.A. soon?

Definitely, if Subversion were to play anywhere in Los Angeles it would more than likely be at Bar Sinister (http://www.barsinister.net/); since he DJs there and it really is the only Goth catering club that hosts bands. Well, either there or Release the Bats (http://www.deathrock.com/releasethebats/). However, I have looked everywhere that I know of and to the best of my knowledge, he has already played his show in Los Angeles back in March. Keep an eye on his official site (http://johnkoviak.cjb.net/) for future shows I guess.
He also has some music up on mp3.com, under John Koviak (http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/230/john_koviak.html).
