Anyone else a little upset they can't make a backup copy of this cd? I mean, I keep my music to myself and share it with no one, unless they are in the car with me or I want to introduce someone to my type of music. I just received my copy today and quickly threw it in my computer to make my backup copy and to put away my original, so it stays out of harms way. Then I find out that there's no way for me to back it up. I've tried every program out there and still can't make a copy for myself. The only way I can hear it on my pc is with the player that came on the cd and that only plays it @ 44 kbps!!
I understand that it's their right to copy protect their music, but why should the loyal fans suffer as a result? Sorry but I just had to vent...

If you have one those home recording systems you can make backup copies and play it in your PC

Yeah, but the quality wouldn't be as good. I just listened to the whole album on the way home from work and this album is pretty good. I guess I can see why they copy protected it...

I could back it up. But I have a recording studio at my disposal. The sad part is that someone out there will likely have a capable rig and will rip and distribute it anyway.
There's no real way to stop CD piracy. Anyone with the proper gear and a little common sense can get around it and make MP3s to send far and wide. I feel bad that fans have to deal with these ridiculous copy protection methods.

Thatīs true, thereīs no way to stop piracy, with an audio CD recorder someone can make copies. I have the 'Babylon' CD and sometimes canīt hear it in my discman because the format is not recognized.
Otherwise, I donīt have any problem to hear it and copy in my PC.
These methods are only damaging to the fans.

One thing I didn't want to do was do a search for this album online, but I guess I will have to since I haven't the gear to make my own personal copy. I wonder if Mac's Itunes will let me copy this cd the "legal" way? It's all too time consuming for me to do.
I threw down over 20 bucks for this album just to play it in my car??? Well, after listening to it again this morning, it's an *awesome* album none the less!! I will find a way to make my own copy for MY personal use...

I did what Charles said...I had the problem too, but I just used my regular old home audio recorder, and transfered everything disc to disc, and even included the remixes for Lucifer on it so I could save my single as well...I think the audio came out perfect, digital sound at it's best because I set the transfer rate at 2x speed...Works for me!!! :D
