CD buyers go get $ from the RIAA

the website has been up for a month and they are publishing public notices all over the place but apprently not many people are claiming their cash. Sure, it will amount to about $5 to $20 per person, but hey ....

Has anyone ever publicly confirmed that they actually got this refund yet? I seem to recall some news site saying it's much more complicated to get this refund than the RIAA say.

The refund will not be sent out until after March 3rd. That is the day they will stop accepting submissions for refunds. If they total amount of money per person drops below a set limit($5) then nobody will get any refunds and the money will go to music charity. Otherwise the money will be split up between the filers with a maximum of $20 per person.
