For as much as I rant about bands needing to be different, I'd be perfectly happy if Nate never changed a thing. This box set is awesome. The new disc especially. I'm in love with the two new songs at the end. I hope we get a new album out of him soon.

I really have been enjoying my copy of the boxset as well. Some of the older material sounds like the treble/higher portions of the songs were mixed a little louder than the rest, but I attribute that to the fact most of it was originally recorded on 4 track analogue.

you people have this thing already?! man i hate living all the way up in CANADA (not really but...)
i'm hoping it arrives this week...i've been losing sleep over this one. and yeah nate has the secret formula to perfect music i think. a new album is a MUST (kill).

Don't lose sleep over it. It's great, but not worth that. I think a new album is planned, after the bonus sixth disc is complete...

i don't have any pre-aftermath releases though...so i think my excitement is pretty valid. what's the box look like?

It looks like one of the old-style 2Cd sets, honestly. But it has flip-overs for discs 1&2, and discs 5&6 on the outside flaps of the jewel case. There are some one page liner note inserts for each disc on the first side of the inner part of the case, and disc 3 is on the back side of the inner part.

hmm...that case is the biggest pain in the ass since the megablack boxset (but not quite as bad). i like the artwork cards inside...nice touch. and everything in vector graphics...me likes. now time to give this stuff a listen.
and man i thought the whispering ep's were pressed discs...my surprise today...

The case was an experiment in creative packaging. It is kind of awkward to flip through though. But, those single-page inserts were included so that people could put them in regular CD jewel cases if they wanted. Put the one-page liner in the front, and face the CD out the back of the jewel case (or put them in those slim jewel cases you can pick up at Officemax). That was the idea-- make it flexible-- all in one place, or easy to separate out.

well i will say i am amazed they all fit in there somehow. can't say how thrilled i am to have some of this older material...it's as good as many of his songs and some are better!

This is quite an aside, but speaking of B!Machine (and I can't buy the box until I've recovered from xmas), I met Nate when he performed at a club in Tokyo last year (CyberAge VooDoo), and I've tried to contact him via the address on his home page, but it keeps getting returned to me as undeliverable. Does anyone know what's up or how I can contact him?

i've sent several emails with no reply bro. i've given up =) he uses the same email for show-related emails so i'm sure my words are reaching him. quite discouraging but hey it's all about these shiny little discs and nobody can steal them!
and yeah handgun is such a cool track...followed by that old version of affliction. man i had no idea it was an old track! now i know why i bought a 5 disc changer...this thing's on a huge loop...

NICOLL...INDEFINIETLY UNIQUE. "YOU GIVE THE IMPRESSION, OF A PERSON, UNDER STRESS...OF AN ANGEL ON A DEATH BED, ITS IMMORTAL SOUL AT REST." WORDS SPOKEN SO DARK WITH CATCHY BEATS AND BACKROUND SOUNDS. I LIVE IN SO CAL, GO TO SO-CALLED GOTH/SYNTH CLUBS BUT I'VE YET TO FIND A DJ THAT HAS B! MACHINE IN HIS LINEUP. NOR RED FLAG AT THAT. I'D MAKE A KICK ASS DJ.....(IN THE PROCESS THOUGH) :)
KEEP IT UP NICOLL....I'LL BUY EVERY CD YOU RELEASE UNTIL I DIE (GOD FORBID)
THANX MUCH
