I first heard of Blank & Jones when they remixed a Pet Shop Boys track last year, and just started looking further into their music. From their discography it's obvious that they are PSB fans since they have a song called "DJ Culture" (like PSB) and "Suburban Hell" (line from "Suburbia) and I think they have an album called "Substance" which recalls a certain New Order album. What I've heard of their music sounds like fairly solid trance, but I'm not a trance expert. I've read through profile Ekstasis put up in November but would love to hear what people think about these guys. Any thoughts?

Yippie, good observation there. Blank & Jones is definitely TRANCE/DANCE. They have also done an awesome remix on PSB's "Home & Dry" (superb remix, my most favorite of mix of "Home & Dry").
About the album, they have released quite few albums. I would highly recommend their last 2 albums (NIGHTCLUBBING and SUBSTANCE). Most of the songs are instrumental with a few great female vocal trance (in a tradition of DJ Tiesto's flavor of female vocal trance). AWESOME STUFF........Give them a try.

They are exclent producers, and alright DJs. They do seem to have a thing fro the Pet Shop Boys which is pretty cool. Blanks B-day was last week if anyone cares. :)
Their most recent single The Hardest Heart has been in my top 10 for almost a month now. Espically the Kai Tracid mix. Odd combination, an acid trance mix of an epic track. Worked out really well though.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. As someone who dabbles in different electronic scenes, it's great to hear some feedback from those in the know.

I own all B&J Albums and LUV PS. Here in germany B&J were very favourite when Techno/Trance was THE THING. Nowadays it became a lil silent round them but they are on of the bands that is still awake and doin some fine work. 3 or 4 great melodic tunes are one every B&J cd.
