Is Item shop finished?
that's sad, I really liked that stuff, and is a good way also to new bands promote yourself "selling" his new CDs to truly synthpop fans.
I hope that back soon!

They said the problem with the item shoop was the cost of shipping.
Why not just charge 3-5$ for shipping. Your already getting a free CD. I'm sure no one would mind that.

Question: I had gotten the red Flag codebreaker CD right before it shut down. Will the CD still ship?

I don't think anybody ever got what I was saving for, the Perfidious Words Cd. Hopefully they'll work out a way to start it back up again, it was a really fun side benefit of membership.

I wasnīt saving for anything, just waiting for something funny to come up in the store. I would have afforded the Perfidious Words cd if I wanted it, but I thought that if I bought it, then something else much more interesting would show up and I would cry my heart out or something ;)
No honestly, if the only problem was the shipping, then I guess we all could pay for the shipping cost and still get a free cd.
Or $5 for a cd isnīt very expensive.(guess the problem is for those who doesnīt live in the US....like me...shipping isnīt exactly for free to get something from usa to sweden.)

I live in Brazil, and I already received 3 or 4 CDs from EG very fast. That's very cool!
Some I agreed to pay the shipping, but others I tryed to know new stuff only, and in these cases I'll not buy until I'm 100% sure that I want it.
So that's bad for new bands that put his CDs here to promote himselves. But to buy an CD by a famous band worth, but only for that stuff.

Then, if a band, not very known, canīt they pay for the postage?
I mean, itīs not a very high price to pay postage for 5 cdīs.
Cheap promotion... :)

Pay US$25 to give 5 cds to a small band is much.
Is better sell at his own site for US$5 at least to real fans.
And promote only music online. : /
Really don't worth.

Realize one thing... For MOST of the bands on here, to sell 100 CDs over the course of a year is quite a nice accomplishment.
5 CDs is 5% of that to basically gain no additional CD sales.
This is a hard economic game to play.
I plan on releasing a CD sometime this year and I've already asked my wife "Honey, how much money will you let me completely blow on releasing a CD?" ;)
Needless to say it's coming out of my allowance. Realize I'm one of the smaller small-bands on here so if I sell 20 I'll be tickled blue. EVEN if it happens to kick ass, which I intend on.

And don't forget that the small bands needs also pay the shipping to EG aside each CD costs.
Only a label or a big independent band could do that, the rest will be exclued.
But anyway, is better to label send sampler cds with the orders like ADD always do. Using the same shipping costs. :)

I for one would have to say that I would be more than happy to pay for shipping and handling for a free CD. A few dollars is practically nothing compared to what I normally pay for a brand new electronic music CD (including the cost of shipping). Just my 2 cents.

I think that all agree to pay the shipping. :)
I only said that is bad to new bands put CD here. :)
Pay $5 for a Mesh CD in my home is a dream! :)
