wouldn't you like to know everyone just a little better here?
here's the simple question: how did you celebrate the New Year's Eve?
choose out people :

- I was hanging out with my homies...

- I was at work hence missed it out

- I was pressing down the sofa staring at the telly

- I was pulling Santa Claus out of chimney coz he got stuck in there

- I was knitting socks for the gifts, fell asleep and missed it out

- I was tippling til the morning

- I was chasing after Santa Claus' runaway reindeers til the morning and missed it out

- I was trying to recall the Jingle Bells' lyrix and missed it out

- your variant.....

My girlfriend and I threw a party inviting many people, with very few showing up and almost none of the "offenders" letting us know that they were not showing. One of those that showed entertained with a "puppet show" dont ask...Lots of frolicing and drinking (we still have left overs and probably will into mid march)

I was a witness to the aforementioned "puppet show".

Well, even though Y3K is a ways off(eerrrr, about 2997 years or so) I plan on making it the best millennium party ever. The last Millennium New Years for me sucked(1999) so I'm hoping the 4th millennium celebration with rock. Hmm, and hopefully I'll have a gf by then...

....Oh wait, this is "YK3" ....awwww...

in that case...
nothing. (I watched Ja Rule perform "Thug Lovin" on the NYE Fox countdown, saw Dick Clark slip further into primordial man, and then went to bed. No parties, no friends, no nada.

Btw, as for any "puppet shows", the ony puppet shows I know of are the ones at the big ol open air German fests. Doh!

*me, who is partying like it's 2999*

I just went to a low-key party with some friends of mine and played Girls vs. Guys in Trivial Pursuit (with us guys being outnumbered 9 to 3, of course). We mopped the floor with those girls and continued to enjoy ourselves for many more hours. Nothing wild, but it was a great time.

I went to an awesome night out to dinner with Stephanie and Mike (WaterDragon)...We had a blast at BJ's, and talked about anything and everything...Had some drinks, (yes I drink again people!!!) and just all in all celebrated amongst the three of us...

You know what though, this year went by so fast, I rarely had time to appreciate anything it just flew by me...I do have some great memories of Y2K, including Synthcon, Joining EGN, getting involved into this scene more than I ever have before, finally started work with Elemental, and met some really nice friends whom I love very much...I'm thankful and will always cherish the fact that this year I met some of the most incredible people I've ever met :)

Wow!!! Your first New Years kiss ever Meg??? Sorry buddy, I can't top that one.

We started our evening by attending a big party with friends and family. Then we drove to Phoenix so I could run The Midnight Madness 5k. During the awards ceremony, we rang in the new year with singing and fireworks while we ate homemade chilli. After the race, Seth (my son) and I stayed up until 4am playing Nintendo Gamecube.

The next morning, I woke up at 8am to go play football with a bunch of my family. There was about 25 of us. Then I came home, got cleaned up, took a nap, and went shopping at the mall. After the mall, we ate dinner and I went to play basketball until around midnight.

Let me just tell you, waking up to go to work the next day, SUCKED ASS!!! Aside from that minor detail, it was a perfect way to bring in a new year. :)

Well--nothing as wonderful as Meg's--rearranged the studio. Attacked the Juno with windex. Ate quite a bit of Chinese food with the missus. Watched the ball drop and danced with wife and the dogs at midnite. Read some excrutiating book on aesthetic theory and fell asleep.

We did have a lot to drink - good thing Craig didn't bust out the sour apple martinis :)

And you were right - we did indeed listen to Debbie Gibson and Supertramp. As much as I would like to think that was an hallucination....

We're just lucky we didn't attempt Twister in our condition!
