Speaking of food, for those of you who like pizza, what's your favourite kind! Do you like homemade or take away or both! So fess up and say what kind you like and why! I'll start:

I like homemade and my favourite is pineapple and argula! Though, I once ate at a place in the States called Rustic Pizza and it was brilliant! I had this pizza with blue cheese, white cheese, and tomato! Uhmmmm...it was lovely! I guess I like more vegetarian style pizza's because meat topped ones are too filling and make you feel as though your carrying around an anchor in your tummy! Homemade to me is always the best because you can make it exactly to your tastes, however if you happen across a good little pizza pub like I did then it could be worth your while to discover something wonderful like I did! All in all, I suppose I like a bit of both then! Cheers! Nam`arie!

BE AT PEACE!

Has to have all the cheese's,peppers and garlic to match my fangs which are natural and sharp......erm has to have a very good tomatoe, basil base and loads of onion on it.....stuffed crust as well with mozerella and herbs...and a deep base. When i used to live with me ex-partner we went Borough Market that has to be the best market for fruit&veg and deliccasiers in the world......Green Olives and Archichoke sliced as well!

I used to make my own now I have no time..........sadly I do love cooking Pizza and I think im a good chef...I was the slave in the relationship I done all the cooking cleaning and paid the bills still got beaten up and ¤¤¤¤¤ed at...even though she loved the food lol

My favorite pizza actually comes from this little place down in San Diego, Bronx Pizza. Simply the best pizza I have ever had, so far. Favorite style has to be the Artichoke pizza or Pesto. I used to like meats on my pizza but you tend to get out of that while dating a vegetarian *lol*

When I was in Scotland I had a pizza with fried egg and corn, it was really good. I thought those toppings were kind of bizarre at the time. Mind you us Scots deep-fry Mars bars so nothing should really surprise me about Scottish cuisine.

As New York style pizza-by-the-slice goes, I agree with Mark. Greco's is the best in Hollywood.

Also, Damiano's pizza on Fairfax is really good. And, they deliver all over town, 24 hours a day. I was at a friend's place in Silverlake one time, and someone decided to order a pizza at like 4 a.m. I think there is an additional charge for delivery beyond a certain distance...but it's worth it sometimes to get good pizza.

My absolute favorite pizza in the entire world, though, is a place in the Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco. It's called Escape From New York pizza. My favorite slice there is called potato pesto. It sounds weird, but check this out: pesto sauce, potato slices, and whole cloves of roasted garlic! It's the most delicious pizza slice I've ever had.

That doesn't sound too bad. Now if you had said haggis and blood pudding, I would have run screaming from the room...

That is just disgusting :p And are you sure that you are entirely heterosexual? Pineapple????? You are definitely in touch with your feminine side ;)

My personal favorite was Rosa Pizza, which was right next to my high school. Their pizza was cheap, and HUGE! Favorite toppings? Lots of cheese, and pepperoni.

Original Rays' Famous in NYC is always great for the traditional flavor.. but there is a super tiny pizzaria in Jersey City that rivals that called "three brothers from italy". Nice thin crispy crust (the way is should be!) ;)

as for non traditional pizza - there is a place in jersey called "bambinos" they make a wicked "bacon cheeseburger pizza" and a great "taco pizza" too.

BJ's is the ¤¤¤¤. I used to eat there when I was a little kid living in Cali. And, lucky me, a month ago they opened one here in Dallas. Same place. My favorite pizza there is the Great White. Good stuff. And the fact that they brew their own beer too... kicks ass. Few pizzas are better than BJ's. No pizza in Dallas is.

Perhaps it's because you haven't yet tried the really GOOD stuff!!
Huhmmmmmmm.....lol!

Honestly, I can't fit more than two slices and I have to be really hungry then! There's so much variety with pizza nowadays though, and I like the fact that you can create your own with what ever you want and it tastes brilliant! Try it out! Nam`arie!

BJs is the ¤¤¤¤ Meg. When I was really young, like three, my parents would take me to the one in the South Coast Plaza shopping center to eat. I wonder if it's still there. It was one of the first two BJs on earth. Mmm... I am so going to BJs for pizza this week.

Which one? The one at Highland, or the one at Cahuenga? Do you notice a difference in the pizza between the two?

I usually go to the one at Highland, because it's closer to where I live. (I always walk there.) But I just remembered that a new Vinyl Fetish store opened on Cahuenga recently....so next time I go shopping for cd's, I will have an excuse to get pizza at the other Greco's. :)

The best pizza by far that i have had is John's Pizzeria in the Village (westside) over by Bleecker...oven fired, crispy, the works...very very tasty...also it's right by the legendary Record Runner off of Jones St...it's a must visit place.

Another fave is Luchetti's handtossed *snickers* from Erie, PA...that pizza is in my blood--it induced my mom's labor with me and my bro  That's some goooooooooood shyte!! But unfortunately i don't get to have it anymore :(

Hmm, the best pizza's I've had are the one that my mom makes. She takes just an ordinary pizza from the grocery store, with a large and crunchy crust, tops it with extra salami, spek (it's dutch, it's like thin bacon), cheese, tomatoes, garlic, unions, and extra pizza spices. YUMMI :D

BTW, I went to a pizzeria called Bella Italia with my mates last thursday... the pizza was crap but we had a lot of fun. I don't expect any of you to know this place, since it's in holland, and we live in one of the far outer wasteland corners of holland ;)

There use to be this place called Andy's Pizza in Carbondale, PA that had pizza so good that it didn't even taste like pizza. Strange but delicious.

When I was wondering around Germany, I stumbled across this pizza joint that put more than the legal limit of garlic on the pie. That would be my second favorite one.

I was in the middle of nowhere once - that being Sayner, WI, and this little bar there had the most amazing thin-crust pizza I've ever had. It was a nice crispy but not burnt crust, the toppings were piled on, the cheese was nicely gooey...oh man. I've been back there a few times since but it's never been the same.

I really love making my own pizzas on the grill. Just grill the dough a little, toss on some toppings, let it go for a fewminutes until the cheese melts. Mmm.

And yes, I like anchovies.

I had this potato pizza at Moose McGillycuddy's (sp? heehee) in Pasadena a couple years ago on St. Patrick's Day and that was rather good. California Pizza kitchen has some great pizza too. When I was in Atlantic City, New Jersey about 2 years ago I went to a place called Breadsticks in one of the casinoes. I got this 3-cheese pizza that was so good it is worth going back one of these days.

I also like the vegetarian-style pizzas, and my fave take-away is thin crust with loads of cheese, green peppers, mushrooms and fresh tomato slices topping. I don't really like meat on a pizza, because it's not so well cooked (or fresh) most of the times, but when I'm the one who's making it (yep, I'm a good cook!), I'll put some minced meat Bolognese-style, or slices of smoked bacon.
By the way, if you're ever in Birmingham, UK, DO NOT try any pizza...uuugh.
It also seems that the Pizza Huts here in Athens are a lot better than in the UK.
Yum...I'm feeling hungry now. Who's cooking? ;-)

There's a chain around here in called "Glass Nickel" (I don't know how large they are). A few weeks ago a few of my friends went there. One said "their pizza is good - their ingredients are really fresh!"
The other replied "'Fresh' - that implies 'vegetables.' Hmm."

We had to get a pizza called the "Cardiac arrest" to placate hm. Meat meat meat meat! Har dee har har.

When I was in college (way back in the Dark Ages, ha ha), my fave pizza was from DoubleDave's Pizzaworks. They're still around, but I don't know if they're still as good. The Brick Oven off Research Blvd. in Austin also makes a good pie. :)

I prefer vegetarian pizza, but have also been known to enjoy ham and pineapple on my pies. :)

We picked up a "fresh" (i.e. premade but uncooked pizza) from Sam's Club today, and it was really pretty damn good.

We also have a local chain here called Fortel's Pizza Den that is awesome.

We're fortunate here......we have our own style of pizza! St. Louis Style is a thin, rather hard crust, with Provel (a meltied mixture of provelone and three other cheeses) cheese. Hats off to the huge Italian community here to make it stick.

If you like creamy pizzas, ask your favorite pizza tosser if they're familiar with St. Louis style....

Out in Portland, they had a chain called Papa Murphy's, where they made the pizzas but didn't bake them. They were very inexpensive and quite good.
