I was slightly dissapointed with Inferno. It wasn't bad, but EonEon and Daimonion were both much better, IMO.
But (especially) View from a Throne, and Trialog, the latest from PP are just amazing.
It's just so different and refreshing compared to most other stuff. I don't know what it is that I like with these albums compared to Inferno. On closer inspection the songs are pretty similar to those on Inferno.
I wouldn't even call it industrial anymore. I know some PP fans are going mad and calling it Backstreet Boys-pop. It is not that either. It's not as dark as most PP stuff but it certainly isn't pop. Call it whatever you want but it sounds great :)

INDEED!!!!!
I love Project Pitchfork because they know how to evolve as a band, and keep fans on thier toes.

So the new singles are winners? I haven't gotten around to picking those up yet. I wasn't so impressed with Inferno so they moved down on my priority list. But I do want to put an order in with infrarot so maybe I'll toss those in with it.

i think that いいer spilles is getting all spiritual and いい again, he needs to get his ass in line and stop listening to wusspop or synthpop, whichever sounds more fitting to the style. as for trialog, its mainly filler, all the way through (hype as i expected) - but what can you expect, they are getting old and clumsy. i suggest you pitchfork fans move onto something with taste. this stuff they are pulling aint gonna fly with me, thats what i have to say about that. chakra red still is one of my top 10 favorte albums.

I agree, "Chakra Red" is my fave PP disc, although I don't have anything they did before the "Chi" EP remixed from "Alpha Omega", I wasn't really into them until that came out, so I don't know what their earlier stuff sounds like that much.
in 2001, I found Absurd Minds to be a perfect "replacement" for PP if that's what you're looking for. the guy sounds EXACTLY like Peter and the music is similar, although maybe just a little more dancefloor-ish [but that's the way I like it]. their 2001 disc "Damn the Lie" is unbelievable, probably one of my all time top 10. I'm still trying to get hold of their first CD "Deception".

Early pitchfork such as "Lam Bras" and "Entities" are excellent and certainly not the いい which the last three albums have been. Having said that, however, the two new eps are a fine return to form. They pick up right where Chakra:Red! left off. Incidentally, the last pitchfork album I bought. But even these new eps cannot match songs like "The Hint" or "Temper of Poseidon".

yeah I thought "inferno" was a major yawn. the 2 new ones though are really good in my opinion. although, like I said before, I'm certainly not a PP expert, but I like stuff you can dance to, and specifically the song "behind the fog" is just outstanding.
