Do you like when they do this?

I often find that a breakbeat song here and there, especially toward the end of a long night, can really boost the energy on the dancefloor.

But that's just me. I know some people who hate when they do that.

What are your thoughts?

Egggs...actly!

You need the breaks. House as a genre bores the socks off me unless its out on the dance floor where you can here HUGe bass and it simply KICKS YER ASS. Some hard house is extremely funky when loud enough. But, yeah, you need the breaks. Its, in my opinion, as someone who initially was turned on to drum and bass, that breaks are where the fun is at. You need some fun. Like throwing some electo poppy/electroclasshy tune into the dark electro breaks mixes. DJ Kicks has a CD mix by ANdrea Parker od elctro funk which has all sorts of variety.

Breaks are variety to a house set, and therefore, the spice of life.

Breaks can work in a variety of styles. They add an energy and rush to the room/club. Trance DJs have added breaks to their sets in the last year or so. Hard House DJs soon followed. Many Breaks producers came out of jungle and are producing tracks hard enough to be played in any Industrial-Dance club.
